Beautiful scenery while you relax, drink a cup of coffee, and eat a generous slice of cake, served by friendly staff.

By reading the menu we accepted that it would be a fairly pricey lunch and expected the quality to reflect this. This turned out not to be the case.
Three of us had Cullen Skink as a starter and all agreed it was insipid. No-one enjoyed it. The burgers came with about 10 chips as did the fish main course. The duck was presented with only two tiny squares of potato.(son is 6'4" so after soup and main course he's still starving) Soft drinks were way overpriced - we expected to pay through the nose for the wine and beer but not for a soda water @ £3.50
There was no table salt for food only rock salt and they ran out of cream for the hot chocolate and sweets.
Not impressed with this place one bit.
The staff and setting was lovely.

With daughter, son in law and grandson visiting from down south, we headed to the Lochside for a bite prior to a trip on Loch Katrine. The deck tables (outdoors) were all booked for a party who arrived via seaplane (pretty cool) so we had to sit indoors, which was actually fine given the soaring temperatures and bright sunshine. Views out and up the loch are simply stunning in such excellent weather, so indoors table was just fine.

Warm welcome on arrival, drinks orders taken and delivered promptly. We ordered a variety of starters and mains, all of which arrived fairly quickly bar one, which was a bit delayed, but given how busy the place was getting, this was understandable. Food was delicious, I had a chicken and chorizo burger, which was very interesting. Portion sizes were ample and everyone was satisfied with just the one course.

Close to a five star review, my only reservation was with prices. For lunchtime I felt the numbers on the menu were just a bit on the inflated side. That said, bums on seats indicate that there is a demand at these prices and in the Trossachs the season can be fickle so I guess there's justification for making a little hay while the sun shines

Lovely location, friendly staff. Limited menu choice because of let down by suppliers. Food was nice. Garnish to dish of cod was four mussels, two of which were closed which was disappointing. Everything else was nice.
