Enjoyed another break at the Royal hotel, and impressed by the new restaurant and other re-furbishments.
Our room was very clean and comfortable, also spacious. Only criticism of room was the outlet in hand basin very slow to empty and needs attention - room 110.
Stayed on B&B basis, and enjoyed the buffet, with options for freshly cooked eggs, plenty of variety.
Did have 1 evening meal, which was excellent, could not fault the meal. However, we found the restaurant on that evening to be quite cold and draughty, which tended to spoil the evening.

Nothing was too much trouble at the Royal Hotel. Convenient parking in their own private car park opposite the entrance. There is a lift, so it matters not if you are disabled, as I am. Everything is spick and span and the staff were most helpful. Breakfast and dinner was superb. Highly recommended.

Once again for the fourth Christmas/New Year we had an excellent time at The Royal. It is even better now that Lindsey is the General Manager. Long overdue. We could not ask for more. Entertainment, very friendly staff, wonderful food, great atmosphere and made more friends. Why would we want to stay at home? Naturally we have booked for next year.

Excellent service, great staff and fantastic value for money. I regularly stay at the Hotel and am always impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the great facilities. Highly recommended for business or vacation trips.

Visited this Gem of a Hotel with a group on a Coach.
Absolutely fantastic service throughout.
Compassionate, dedicated and helpful staff.
Christmas Day they catered for 200+ people and the whole event seamed effortless to all employees.
To rate this 5 Star's, based on my stay here, will never give it the justice the Hotel and staff deserve, neither would 500 Star's.
Well done to you all. You certainly made our Christmas very special indeed, I had lot's of fantastic, positive feedback on the way home on the Coach.
How can you improve on excellence ????
