Really enjoyable turkey and tinsel weekend. I was greeted by a lovely gentleman who told me where to park and took my case right into the hotel for me. Excellent food and well presented, nothing too much trouble if you wanted something slightly different, like no sauce for example. Housekeeping was also very good plenty of tea etc and nice clean room, and bedding, something I also look for. All staff very helpful in all areas. One of the entertainers was too loud in my opinion even had a job for the bar staff to hear me. An improvement this time there was help to bring my case down on day of departure. Reasonally priced although if willing to take a last minute chance there is room you get a lot cheaper. Still don't see why one has to pay a supplement for a single room when you can only get a single bed in it think that is a bit of a ripe off. Overall all a very good weekend - thank you Father Christmas for my clock

a great 4 days spent at the Prince Regent. From the minute we stepped through the doors help was at hand. Very excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. The food was varied and well cooked served by a friendly waiter, nothing was too much trouble for him. Entertainment every evening, along with a quiz and a game of bingo. Drinks weere reasonably priced as was the snacks in the cafe at lunch time. I would recommend this holiday hotel which is run by Daishes a family business who have several hotels in the UK.

Room Tip: A room at the front of the hotel overlooks the esplanade and the sea/beach and is worth the small charge.

Went for the turkey and tinsel break our second time visiting this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Close to the shopping centre within easy walking distance. Room was lovely and very warm considering time of year. This was our second visit this year and will definitely be back next year. Food was great also.

The age of the property, average age of the guests, combine to provide a mighty challenge for the staff. However, by 1600 hrs when my wife and I arrived, the majority of the guests had been settled in to their respective rooms. As one of the 'self drive ' fraternity, I was rapidly directed to my own parking space at the rear of the hotel - at no charge! ( One potential nightmare removed!)

A warm clean room, with a comfortable bed greeted us. More than ample 'tea or coffee' making facilities.
Dinner was served between 1830 - 1900 hrs, which tended to generate 'The Start of the Grand National' behaviour among the guests - their first night, remember! The nice touch was your table had been allocated before-hand. From then onwards, you simply had to arrive between the ordering times - whether it be breakfast or dinner, at the same table allocated at the start.
Table service was excellent and the staff cheerful and engaging with their guests.
Breakfast was a Gourmet's delight, if you could manage 'the whole works' every day! Luckily, there was absolute flexibilty in what you could have for breakfast. Breakfast is when you are invited to scan the Dinner Menu and append your choices for the Chef's benefit.
ALL meals were to a very high standard, both in quality and choice.
Now for the 'Fawlty Towers Aspect!'
Receptionist's have it relatively easy. The 'Duty Managers' really are in Basil Fawlty's shoes!
The ancient solitary 4 person lift. Very similar to those seen in early American Movies. Long past it's best before date, if stressed to handle four people of modest weight. Overload must be constant factor, and, it really was pitiful to a lady duty manager rushing to the lift head, to manually lower the lift to correct datum point, to re-instate the lift's serviceability. This occurring more than once during a 'shift'! Needless to say, an extremely dangerous sceanio where insurance is involved.

Until this aspect is resolved, it would be better to employ a Coles Crane at the entrance to the hotel!

There you have it. Un-beatable value for money. Perfect location (especially for the elderly).

Room Tip: We looked out over the industrial sites. Not bothered really, just get out on the promenades and enjoy the fresh air and exercise - or sit in one of the lounges if inclement.
