Myself and partner visited here on the recommendation of a fellow vegan friend.
We were not disappointed. I opted for the vegan quiche with a mass ive selection of salads, while my partner had the veggie quiche. Both absolutely delicious . A taste explosion in every mouthful.
Followed by the vegan chocolate cake and ice cream for me and cheesecake for my partner. Again, absolutely divine.
So glad we have this gem of a place virtually on our doorstep. We will be visiting here many more times....

The Hive is a definite experience. We went twice on our holiday in Dorset. The first time we just had a drink and some awesome Apple cake which was delicious. On this occasion the restaurant was very busy and we had to sit outside in breezy weather with our two dogs. We returned the next morning for breakfast. This was absolutely delicious. We sat inside with the dogs under the table. Unfortunately the weather was not too good on our visit but as the Hive is right on the beach the views in Summer must be lovely to gaze out on whilst eating. We believe this place is very popular for all types of food all through the day.

We popped in for lunch and thought all the food was great - after a very warm and relaxed welcome -

My wife had a Mezze and I had a Burger - Both served with a great array of fresh and tasty salads, dressings and condiments. Everything seems to be cooked from scratch

Neither of us are vegetarian but that doesn't matter at all - the quality of the food is exceptional - - We couldn't resist a takeaway - generous piece of pistachio and rose oil cake and a chocolate n cherry one too- both fabulous -

We will return for lunch next time we visit Weymouth

This a really cute cafe with a menu that looks fantastic for us vegans. We'd have loved to have ordered more but only had room for cake! It was lovely to be able to take our dogs in with us and love how doggy friendly Weymouth is.

We had the pistachio and rose cake and a piece of chocolate orange brownie. They were both melt in the mouth, soft and gorgeous!

They have a lovely array of Pukka teas and Belvoir cordials to suit everyone, we'd most definitely visit again.

This is the first time we have eaten here in the evening - only having had a day-time snack before. They told us they opened on some Saturday evenings, so we thought we'd give it a try.
We experienced a friendly greeting from the staff - who clearly own this business - and were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We chose to eat upstairs where there was a lovely woodturning stove warming the lovely 200 year old wooden beamed and wood-floored room and apart from the tables and chairs, were comfortable arm chairs and a coffee table near the fire.
Because they do not have a licence, we were able to make our own wine - saving around £10 per bottle. Drinks were served with complimentary and delicious canapés near the fire and our starters came maybe 15 minutes later.
There were three vegetarian/vegan options for each course and I had the mushroom pate, followed by a tagine and then a cherry/chocolate cheesecake - £22 per person which was very reasonable.
