This was our second trip to the Cranleigh and it certainly wont be our last. We love the place, the rooms are all gorgeous, the service is great - nothing is too much trouble and the team are really professional, and the breakfast is brilliant. The rooms are all modern and luxurious - its a real treat to stay there!

We stayed at the Cranleigh guest house on 14th and 15th July 2012 to celebrate my husband's 41st birthday. The hotel is beautiful, clean and is complimented by its friendly and helpful staff. The location, for us, is perfect - just a short walk (literally 2 minutes) from the town centre. The night life in the town is lovely and suitable for all ages, quiet pubs, gorgeous restaurants and, if required, a nightclub. As well as having champagne and chocolates on arrival, included in the package was access to the Old England spa which was amazing. I have no complaints - a perfect weekend. Thank you

Room Tip: Ask to exchange breakfast items if you don't like something (i.e.black pudding for bacon) - the staff are only too wiling to help.

We stayed in Room 16 in July 2012 to celebrate an anniversary. This room was immaculately clean, the bed superbly soft and comfortable and the bathroom outstanding, with air-spa bath for two, mood lighting and TV.

Complementary turn down service was a lovely touch with a chocolate truffle left on each of our pillows. Breakfast also lived up to the excellent standards, with a choice of four or five hot dishes from the menu, from full English through to smoked salmon, complemented by good choice of cereals, fruit salad and juices from the buffet table.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were showed to our room and shown how everything worked and the staff also arranged our complementary spa passes for use at the Old England hotel on the waterfront approximately 2 minutes walk away. Spa passes are available for three hour slots throughout the day (9-12, 12-3, 3-6, 6-9 if memory serves).

Location wise the Cranleigh is an quiet part of Bowness approximately 3 minutes walk to the main piers were boats go to all corners of the lake. Shops and bars are within 1 minute.

Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely return in the future.

Room Tip: Room 16 is on the ground floor of a building adjacent to the main property. It is off the road and overlooks the carpark at the rear of the building therefore minimal traffic noise.

We stayed here 27 & 28th June 2012, for our 20th Anniversary. This hotel is so close to the village and lake. On arriving in our room which was lovely and bright, we had a bottle of chilled champagne, rose petals on the bed & handmade chocolates (delicious) which started our break off well. The weather was changeable but they have an excellent DVD selection and once we'd got soaked on the Thursday we ordered coffee and a DVD.. Pure bliss. The breakfasts each morning were fantastic! There was one particular gentleman who served us both mornings and he was very attentive but not the hovering kind which is great. With the position of this guesthouse there is no shortage of places to eat out within 2 minutes walk. We cannot wait to stay here again in a few months time.
