very disappointing-half an hour to get served and then an hour and half to make 2 paellas. Given sliced bread and bottled garlic mayo to compensate. Then the live band started-impossible to hear yourselves think. Staff did their best to ensure our visit was satisfactory but below average paella(even with the wait) and the noise made this an experience we won't be repeating

good offer for 6 tapas and a bottle of wine for £30 by the time we had extra bread, cheese board, port and coffee the whole bill was around £46 which is outstanding value. Some tapas were excellent others ok, atmosphere is very relaxing and service was good. Will visit again.

Being local to Barnstaple, Lillicos is situated on the square where the old ice cream parlour use to be. (my Parents actually met there in 1961). On entering there are plentiful places to sit in the lounge bar and the decor is quite a nice gothic with theme, with old pictures of Barum on the walls. The Tapas restaurant is next door on ground level, or you can dine downstairs in the converted wine cellar, which is very cosy and relaxing. The food is of excellent quality and with a wide choice of dishes the whole dining experience is a memorable time. Service from the smiling loyal staff is as good as your going to find anywhere. Lilicos can cater for large parties or a romantic table for two. A very enjoyable experience and makes you want to go back time and time again!..
