We came down to visit friends we hadn't seen for a while. They'd arranged a table at The Olive Tapas restaurant. We were greeted be friendly bar staff and we're lucky enough to enjoy pre dinner drinks on the roof terrace. They Olive staff were courteous and friendly and accommodates our requests helping one of party who has a dairy intolerance find suitable dishes. The only small gripe we had was not being able to take a bottle of prosecco to the roof terrace due to legal issues, bur I'm sure this will be sorted in time. We came back on the Sunday for a superb Carvery and again experienced a warm welcome from the staff and the Carvery chef continued this theme. This is a great place to visit and we have already planned to return in August though hopefully we'll be able to see a bit more of the town!!

Dined here 13th May, good varied pub menu we had gammon and chips and homemade pie and chips, the service was good and staff friendly The pie is served with carvery veg we opted for chips and they brought a side of veg from the carvery. Only thing we found was veg was slightly cold and hard. We like our veg slightly softer and to have it served in a warm dish would have helped, hence we never returned to try carvery.

We've been coming to Paignton for nearly 10yrs,as our Son & family live here.Last week was the first time we visited The Harbour Inn since it was redone. What a pleasant surprize. The staff were very pleasant, helpfull, everywhere was clean & bright. As for the carvery wow.The selection of food was more than 100%.It was very tasty,as was the sweet,& all for under £10 EACH.I'd say that it was the best meal ever in Paignton,& the cheapest.
