Visited this attraction yesterday while on holiday in Woolacombe with 10% off voucher card. It was a success for my 4 year old who loved the easter egg hunt and dinosaurs. Dinasaurs and animals were Nicely spread around the park which allowed us to spend a good 4 hours there including a play in the play centre. Could be slightly warmer in the cafes and play area specially through the winter months, however food and drink was considerably priced considering its an attraction. Lions were away sleeping so didn't see them however again I was pleased to see the sea lion rescue. Even though I don't like peacocks it was nice to see a few different birds roaming the park at their own free will. Enjoyed the dinosaurs coming alive, and the only additional cost was the £1 train ride... Def worth the quid for the experience of it.

Went with four small children and six adults. Initially didn't think it was overly expensive but once you get inside you certainly do not get your money's worth. Cafe in main area opposite train very expensive and horrible food. One girl serving on counter so queueing for ages. Easter Saturday so one would think they would cater for a busy day. No such luck - one woman on the ticket desk!!! Queued for nearly thirty minutes to get in. A total lack of adequate signposting to find your way around. They then want to charge a further pound a head to get on a miniature train which actually only takes you about two hundred yards!!!!!
The animals in general looked miserable there were no real distractions or playthings in their pens. Quite a number of the pens or cages were in fact empty. There are two lions there and it was actually quite distressing to see them pacing up and down in a small pen. At least at Maxwell Zoo the tiger areas are attractive with various things to amuse and distract the tigers.
All in all it was an extremely disappointing experience and most certainly not one I would recommend.

Went here on a coach trip. Had about five hours - tbh three would've probably been enough. Main concerns are about the zoo aspect - some of the enclosures are just way too small imho especially the sealion tank. Lions looked bored as well. Sealion show was amazing what they can do but for me performing animals leaves a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth. Dinosaurs were amazing - felt about nine year old again! Egyptian exhibit seemed a bit out of place. Dinosaur museum wasn't all that great. VERY steep in places though there's not a lot anyone can do about that. All in all a nice enough day out but could be a lot better.

This made it a reasonable family outing for everyone from 4 to 70 (in our case )prices are considerably higher usually.
The sea lion show was lovely to see and very informative. Our little one was excited to see the animals from monkeys to lions and of course the dinosaurs.
Large indoor play area was fantastic

An amazing (very hilly) setting, which could be the location for an incredible park. Regrettably, everything needs updating. The enclosures are tatty, a lot of the animals seem unhappy, staff are not particularly friendly (compare to The Big Sheep yesterday where you felt like you knew the staff by the end of the day!).

I agree with other reviews which state that the leaflets and advertising are misleading. For example, the dinosaur cinema, which is actually a damp smelling corner of the dinosaur museum, showing a film made in the 90’s at best.

As we sit in the soft play (which is fine) we are hoping that the sea lion show this afternoon saves our visit. Otherwise the one big dinosaur here is the park itself.
