Superb spot. Quiet and extremely beautiful . Lovely walks around the coast. Would imagine that it would be a lovely spot for a romantic picnic

Killed 45 minutes or so - not huge, but interesting enough for small kids, wouldn't rush there, there are bigger, more interesting castles in Pembrokeshire.

Looks like it is privately owned - should give people credit for trying to keep places like this running, although I thought the lady on reception was a bit surly to be honest.

Below the castle is Manorbier beach which is not as nice as Tenby beach but was interesting in the rough weather as there were surfers out on the breakers

“Just what you expect from a real castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2011

My wife has visited many times as a child and once before with me before kids, so it was great to come back with the children.

It's a simple non-commercialised place where you're free to roam, can enjoy a picnic or buy tea and cake at the tiny tea room.

Stunning views, towers to climb, and real dungeons, it's interesting the try and work out what it must have been like before it fell into partial ruin, and there's enough of it left to do that.

We had a great few hours there.
