It wasn't the cheapest option for our planned overnight stay but when you consider the free parking and the complimentary breakfast, £55 was about right.

Located c.300m from the Lord Street strip, the Talbot is a quaint hotel, with top notch service (special mention to Mike who was more than helpful) and decent enough rooms (for a base - nothing too fancy).

I was reading reviews about the breakfast being rubbish. Nonsense. Piping hot, lots of choice and delivered, once again; with a smile.

I'd certainly recommend The Talbot for an overnight stay.

The service from the Staff was good was the best part about the Hotel. The rooms were ok and clean. Shower isn't very good but you can get a wash in it. Cold water tap is warm. Probably the worst breakfast I've had. Hash browns were soggy, sausages were like cardboard, bacon was still alive and coffee was like dishwater. The hotel is ok but could easily be a lot better

Struggling to get a booking elsewhere at short notice I booked one here, then managed to get a more desirable one elsewhere so cancelled within the hour. A recent shambles elsewhere led me to check that that had gone through; not only was the owner very helpful and pleasant, he went out of his way to check and called me back.

A N Other hotel in Norfolk, take note.

I'd actively seek to go here next time, just as wild horses won't get me into the place in Norfolk.
