We have stayed here a couple of times now. The hotel is a great location for Heathrow. They have buses to and from the airport but they often have private taxi's which will take you there in a luxury car for about £11... very convenient! Rooms are clean and spacious. The purpose of our stay is for whenever we are travelling in and out of Heathrow.

If you are flying from Heathrow early in the morning then the Novotel might be an answer. The shuttle is frequent, although quite expensive. The facilities are what you would expect and service is available until late

Waouh, what a nice mixture of several nationalities in the staff of this hotel. Sadly some of them, indians for instance have some kind of lack of "hospitality" so they may need training in emergency.

Thank you for taking the time to share you feedback online, I am very sorry that the service from my team did not meet your expectations and especially "The Indians" as you said London is the most cosmopolitan city in the world, which has a rich diverse multicultural society and Novotel as a brand, we are proud that our teams reflect this rich multiculturalism, employing staff from around the world. The majority of very positive reviews on Tripadvisor reflects the level of service and quality we have come to pride ourselves and especially from "the Indians "staff and I am sorry that this has not been your experience.

We stayed here for three nights - two as part of a Legoland package deal, and then we tacked an extra night on the end so that we wouldn't have to rush back to Cornwall after a day at the theme park. At the price paid for the Legoland package I would say that the hotel was just about acceptable - about 80-something pounds per night for the three of us, including Legoland tickets, breakfast and car parking. However, at £70 for the extra night without breakfast and a £10 overnight parking fee on top, this hotel started to seem a bit extortionate!

The first night we spent here was awful: we arrived knackered after a long drive down from visiting relatives and just wanted a quick cuppa and good night’s sleep. However, although there were 3 different types of tea to choose from, there was no milk and only 2 cups, even though the room was made up for 3 (even children like a bedtime drink believe it or not!) Having sorted this problem, we soon settled down to beddy-bo-byes, only to be disturbed about 15 minutes later by the air conditioning clunking into action - and this continued to buzz/whirr/hum etc on and off for about an hour until we finally got fed up and turned the heating/air con off altogether. Then my phone started to beep......"Well, that's not the hotel's fault", I hear you cry......Well...yes it was! The phone was beeping to inform me that it had stopped charging....because the plug socket was faulty. It continued to beep on and off for a while until I decided it wasn't going to settle down, and I switched plug sockets. Guess what.....it did it again! Yes, another faulty plug socket. By this point I was so stressed that I probably wouldn't have slept even if they'd slipped me a Mickey Finn or whacked me over the head with a lump hammer! I did eventually find a plug socket that charged my phone effectively, but spent the rest of the nigh being disturbed partially by my general state of annoyance, and partly by the sound of generators/air con fans outside the bedroom window.
I complained the next morning, and although the women on the reception desk seemed remarkably ambivalent, a manager and a maintenance guy did visit our room shortly after and confirmed that the sockets were faulty. He was unable to test the air con on the spot, but I managed to get our room switched after repeating how unhappy I was about the whole situation.

Our stay did improve after this first night, however, the air conditioning in the new room was still fairly clunky and the housekeeping left a lot to be desired.

IMHO these are the hotel's main good and bad points:
GOOD:
Helpful restaurant staff (adapted food for son's food allergies)
Good breakfast buffet
Pleasant bathrooms with good showers
Swimming pool and play area for kids
Free fitness suite (which I can't comment on as I didn't have time to try it)
BAD:
Poor housekeeping (rooms dusty, no milk in room, no bin liners twice, someone else's rubbish under our bed)
Reception staff courteous enough but disinterested (although this may of course simply reflect their level of job satisfaction & pay!)
Ridiculously overpriced menu
Overpriced wi-fi
£10 per night to park in a car park that runs out of spaces by 10pm, leading to to the need for some fairly resourceful parking practices if you arrive later than this.
Pool poorly maintained and poorly situated in middle of reception/restaurant area

To conclude, I would stay elsewhere if visiting this area again, although perhaps this hotel is more suited to people accessing the airport and who would benefit from the airport shuttle service.

Room Tip: Avoid room 300!
