“The Hayloft, Kerridge End”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

We stayed at the Hayloft for a short family break. The cottage itself was beautifully arranged and equipped, with attention to detail obvious throughout - from the beautifully furnished and comfortable rooms, with excellent en-suites, to the thoughtful welcome pack of scones and essentials, and great supply of toys and games for the children. The setting was lovely, and the cottage peaceful, with plenty to do in the surrounding area. We had a really enjoyable stay.

The owners were really helpful throughout - both answering questions before booking and sending information on local attractions, and unobtrusive yet on hand for help and advice during our stay. The website was also really useful.

We chose the Hayloft because of its disabled access, to give my 92 year old Grandad his first holiday since becoming a full-time wheelchair user. He was very nervous about travelling away from home (the extensive information on the website was really helpful in persuading him!), but was so happy with the accommodation it has given him the confidence to look forward to more holidays. Thank you!

We stayed at the Hayloft with our son, daughter in law and grandchildren. We were very impressed. Nothing had been forgotten. The welcome basket with all essentials plus some Thornton's chocs for the adults and kinder eggs for the children. The homemade scones were fantastic. Thank you.
We had a warm welcome and Ivor explained everything to us and checked everything was ok whilst we were there. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable (better than ours at home) and the bathrooms fabulous, especially the one with the fantastic shower. There was even a play area for my grandchildren. Surrounding countryside is beautiful but Macclesfield is only a couple of miles away if you need shopping. Lots of places to visit and things to do. We certainly would like to return in the not too distant future. Well done Lynn & Ivor you certainly know how to put the finishing touches to great accommodation

As a group, once eight and sadly now six, three couples, we have taken over 30 holidays of this kind. in the UK. The Hayloft is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Spacious, exceptionally well equipped and furnished, super showers, everything was just right. It's the attention to detail that caught one's attention.

Nine of us (all women) spent three nights here as our annual get together. We were greeted with warm home made scones and soon settled into the excellent accommodation, each of us able to have our own bed with en suite bathroom or shower. On the edge of the Peak District there are many wonders nearby to explore and some envigorating walks right from the property. My only caution would be that one property, The Coach House, is right next to the road and its occupants found it a bit noisy. Otherwise - no complaints.

I have nothing but great things to say about the stables. I have already recommend it to everyone. Its so beautiful, the bathroom is amazing!! The kitchen has everything you could ever possibly need to cook a meal and more. It is immaculately clean "not a speck of dust in sight" When we arrived the cottage was warm and lynn was more than helpful and really made us feel a home. The location ticks all the boxes not to far from anything but out of the way to make you feel like you are in the heart of the peak district! We will defiantly be back this year!!!

Thank you for an amazing stay!!

I stayed in the Coach House for a week in late January using it as a base for business and seeing friends having lived in Cheshire for 10 years some time ago. The accomodation was excellent, the cottage extremely well furnished and equiped, all with good quality items, crockery, cutlerey, etc. with a great shower (very important) and nice little extras like a welcome basket of tea, coffee, home made jam and scones, milk etc. With Wifi and widescreen TV's in lounge and bedrooms, towels, and lovely comfortable and warm beds, and a warm welcome, I had a great stay!
