“STABLES”

Always a warm welcome at Kerridge End and this return visit to "The Stables" was no exception. Ivor and Lynne have very high standards as far as cleanliness and comfort are concerned and the property was in mint condition as always. An excellent base for visiting nearby attractions such as Jodrell Bank which was a good day out - the recently opened visitor centre there is excellent. If shopping is your thing why not take a trip to Manchester? Catch the bus into Macclesfield across the road from Kerridge End and then short train ride to Manchester from there. Loads of choice of shopping and eating out etc - pay a visit to the Arndale Centre and browse to your heart's content. Lots of good walks to do in the area around the cottage also if that is your thing. All in all the break had everything we were looking for, a lovely place to relax in and plenty of variety when we wanted to get out and about

Another great stay,we have now stayed in all three of the cottages and have found the standards in all of them consistently good, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with every need catered for an ideal place for meeting up with family,it is in a lovely location quiet but only a short journey to local ammenities,

Wonderful stay - the accommodation was first class and the welcome pack of scones, home-made jam and a goody box was especially appreciated. A lovely relaxing holiday which the weather didn't spoil (despite a pretty good try!!). Will certainly return with my 5 chums at some time in the future.

I pretty much used up all my superlatives in the review of the Hayloft following my last stay in April 2011, so it is a pleasure to report that standards have been maintained - always a concern when returning to somewhere that impressed so much.
This time, the weather was very poor so we have experienced both extremes and Kerridge End remained equal to the task.
We were delighted and hope to return again... As I said last time: this is how it should be done!!

We stayed in the Stables for a week. We wanted a quiet place to relax, and the cottage was just perfect -everything we would have wanted, plus a few surprises! Everything seems to have been thought of, and then provided to a high standard. Absolutely excellent!!

I grew up in the area surrounding these cottages and came back to visit family and to introduce my brother and sister in law to the beautiful countryside surrounding these excellent properties.
The booking process was simple and straightforward using the on line site. On arrival we were warmly greeted and settled in to the Coach House by Ivor and really appreciated the lovely welcome pack. The cottages are clean, spacious and well thought out with every piece of equipment you can think of, including cookery books. Top marks from me for the good quality hairdryer that is often lacking in hotels and the very sensible provision of 2 sets of house keys - so often if people want to go their own way or visit different places its difficult to co-ordinate a return to the cottage with only one key.available. All in all well thought out and with a practical approach to self catering.
Our in laws were so impressed with the cottages, the area, the friendliness of the locals and the food, that they can't wait to come back (they are from Norfolk). There is a folder in the property where previous residents can guide you to local places of interest and places to eat - what an excellent idea as guide books and leaflets are often out of date.

We stayed at the Hayloft for a short family break. The cottage itself was beautifully arranged and equipped, with attention to detail obvious throughout - from the beautifully furnished and comfortable rooms, with excellent en-suites, to the thoughtful welcome pack of scones and essentials, and great supply of toys and games for the children. The setting was lovely, and the cottage peaceful, with plenty to do in the surrounding area. We had a really enjoyable stay.

The owners were really helpful throughout - both answering questions before booking and sending information on local attractions, and unobtrusive yet on hand for help and advice during our stay. The website was also really useful.

We chose the Hayloft because of its disabled access, to give my 92 year old Grandad his first holiday since becoming a full-time wheelchair user. He was very nervous about travelling away from home (the extensive information on the website was really helpful in persuading him!), but was so happy with the accommodation it has given him the confidence to look forward to more holidays. Thank you!
