“Disappointed”
Review of Poplars Farm Shop

Always visit the Farm Shop/Cafe when visitng my son.
Last visit was last year and was excellent had to wait for table.
As soon as we went into shop Last weekend I realised it had changed .
There was hardly any stock in the shop and the vegetables on sale could be bought at any greengrocers.
But what a disappointment in the cafe.
There were empty tables at the peak time never hapoened in the past.
Had to ask the young lad to wipe table it looked dirty.
Could not believe the believe the price of the food.
But if quality I do not mind paying.
I ordered a bacon bap which appeared quick !no wonder the bacon was hard when I took it back noticed in the kitchen pre cooked bacon and sausages !
The three egg omelette was price at 9 pounds !
The beans on toast was 5 pounds !
It is a shame because what was a busy cafe in the past is going rapidly downhill.
We will not be returning.
Even the pigs were missing ,!

Popped in for lunch with hubby after work. Moved on from poached eggs that could cause injury if thrown at anyone, to sloppy under cooked egg. Rock hard bacon and cold tea.
Probably would not have written a review had the management showed some concern rather than leaving the young staff to deal with the complaining customers. Shocking!

Went in here whilst waiting for car to be cleaned outside. Seemed like a nice setting to get a few drinks and a cake for my daughter and I.

Unfortunately the whole cafe seems to be run by a very young group of staff who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves round the back than actually giving a good experience to customers.

Only ordered two soft drinks and a cake, and it took over fifteen minutes to arrive. The cafe wasn’t even busy in the slightest.

Cake was OK. Nothing special. Overpriced though, and needs someone in charge providing some organisation as it seems a bit of a mess to be honest. Won’t be going again.

The service here was friendly, attentive and prompt. The food portions were large and contained quality ingredients. In all a very pleasant dinning experience.
