Our group stopped off for lunch here on our way to Tyneside. The welcome we received from the staff was very friendly.
The pub serves a good selection of well cooked and presented food at reasonable prices. There are two cask ales on the bar along with premium lagers and keg beers.

Staff welcoming, friendly and attentive, excellent customer service.

Menu is extensive and so many delicious dishes to choose from, both starters bang bang chicken absolutely delicious both of us enjoyed it.

I had a sirloin steak with chips and salad which was tasty, my boyfriend had mixed grill and said it was the best mixed grill ever! The mixed grill had generous pieces of meat and proper sausages. This is definitely a place we want to go regularly, the portion sizes are generous, food is excellent.

I highly recommend this place, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and so pleased we went for my boyfriend's birthday as the night couldn't have been any better.

Last minute booking and managed to get us in even though it was Mother's Day and really busy. Was 9 of us all together and every one of us loved every bit of our meal. Customer service was brilliant, especially from our waitress Toyah. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back!

On a cold frosty evening we walked into this warm cosy pub, the 4 of us were seated at a table right next to the roaring log fire. The table was clean and well laid out with decent cutlery, place mats and a nice added touch of a lit candle.
The menu had such an extensive varied choice of dishes at reasonable prices.
We were served by 2 very friendly waitresses, a special mention to Toyah who was an absolute pleasure to meet, what a character, such a lovely conscientious person, eager to make sure we were happy with everything we asked for.
Our choices were, crispy belly pork, chicken fillet with gravy, chicken parmo and a special jalapeno burger, all with twice cooked chips, salad and a large bowl of mixed veg. And to follow we each had a sundae of cookie dough or peach melba, priced @ £4.95.
In all honestly we can definitely say everything was presented beautifully, the portions were generous, tasted wonderful and perfectly cooked, no complaints whatsoever and would not hesitate in awarding 10 out of 10
Oh and just to add, a good happy atmosphere, the background music wasn't too load but the great choice of tunes certainly had us singing along.
All in all a very enjoyable night, a big thank you to all at the Black Horse Inn, we shall be returning !!!
