We would highly recommend this cute, cozy, gorgeous little hut to get away and just relax in. With nice pubs near what do lovely food. Great getaway place we will definitely be back.
Such a relaxing stay, couldn't have asked for anything more.
Everything was there that we needed, lovely facilities, delicious breakfast, the Hut was surrounded with beautiful scenery and it was topped off with the welcoming cozy Hut.
This was easy to book online (we were lucky to get it the night before) Rachel emailed and texted to confirm our booking and where to park.
Arrived and met Rachel (who was friendly and welcoming), arranged breakfast time and after a chat Rachel offered us an IOS map (which was in the Shepherds hut) & suggested a walk.
Neighbour was drumming loudly (which was lovely to start with but) got repetitive. We didn't mind though as we were going out...
The walk was lovely, we did about 5 miles in a loop, found lots of information about The Plague, The Boundary Stone and a myriad of beautiful houses & views...
We returned and made a wonderful fire in our fire pit outside (away from the hut) fairy lights were on which made it so cute... heard lots of unknown animals, and an owl...
When it started raining we enjoyed wine indoors and made another fire (which had kindly been set up for us). The hut was so cosy with radio and games.
Bed was comfy and breakfast was delicious. Shower a very short walk away and was lovely clean and warm.
Would definitely recommend this for couples or good friends to share a lovely evening or longer....
The only thing I'd have liked to have known would be if the tape near the hut was drinkable. I presume it is.
Beautiful village also with lots going on. Everyone we've met has been lovely and helpful.
We also went to the Eyam Hall which was worth a trip.
Thank you for having us Rachel and Hayden. Great place and lovely meeting you
We had a great time staying at the eyam hut, the location was great and Rachel was so accommodating and friendly. Her attention to detail made our stay so much fun, and the hut it's self is immaculate with a really fun quirky feel. We can't wait to book again! Thanks Rachel!
This little hut is a home away from home! We were bought a voucher as a gift and even on a rainy night this was a lovely, warm and cosy space with every detail carefully selected. The breakfast hamper was a nice touch and the fire was easy to light. In the morning we walked from the hut over Sir William Hill and down into Hathersage through the heather - amazing views. Thank you!
Rachel gave us a lovely friendly welcome offering lots of advise and assistance. The Hut is beautifully decorated inside and bigger than you think. Situated at the bottom of the garden within a short distance of the shower/bathroom. Eyam is a lovely quiet village with lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. I would recommend walking around Lady Bower Reservoir.
My wife and I spent our first two nights of married life at The Hut after getting married at Eyam Hall. Rachel was a wonderful host and her communication was excellent from the moment we booked and right through our stay.
The Hut was even better than we imagined and the breakfast hamper delivered to our door each morning was a wonderful touch. Rachel even decorated The Hut with 'Just Married' bunting and left a special message and a card wishing us well for our marriage.
We would definitely recommend The Hut to anyone looking for an alternative, cosy and romantic getaway in a spectacular setting.
Rachel and her husband are very friendly and we look forward to staying with them again in the future.
