Spent 2 weeks here & what a great place. Nice, spacious & clean 3 bedroom apartment was very comfortable for all of us. The grounds & pool area are very well maintained on a daily basis. Well secure, with friendly manned security of a night time. The location of the resort is excellent, short distance to the bus stops where you can travel along the coast visiting lovely beaches & bars. Would definitely stay at Lantana again.

We booked the apartment via the property manager Linda and she responded to all our questions prior to our trip. Linda arranged our airport transfers and she also arranged for us to stop at the large supermarket in Holetown to stock up on essentials on our way to the apartment which was great. The apartment is in the rear block of 2 and very quiet, it is well maintained with everything you require for a relaxing holiday. The free wifi worked well and the tv if you want it has every channel you could think of. There is a large balcony which looked out over the pool and grounds which are very well maintained. It is a short 2 minute walk to the beach and at the bottom of the road the local bus can take you in any direction. Linda has ensured there is an information file with lots of local info regarding beaches and restaurants to try we particularly liked the Lobster Pot and the free sun loungers if you eat there. The apartment and service we received was excellent and we will definitely book again and can't recommend it highly enough.

We booked apartment 41, which is three beds(we only used two). Very clean, well maintained modern apartment. UK tv, wifi, free local phone. Excellent veranda overlooking pool with a view of the sea. Furnishings are new(table in lounge needs looking at) chairs and table on veranda are good, with bi-folding doors to lounge and main bedroom. There is air-con but if you get air-flow through the apartment you don't need it. There is a pool at the front of the complex but it is very noisy, due to the busy road and bus stop, just outside. Make sure you book an apartment that is NOT at the front. We booked through Linda(Ixora Rentals) brilliant. You are in between Holetown ans Speightstown so consider car hire, but we used the buses, which are 2 dollars each a trip. They are brilliant, scary, cheap, noisy, packed(50+ on bus that holds 20) but hey are a must do.
You are a short walk(2-3 mins) to the beach, John Moore's rum shack or Reeds House beach. There is a shop(which we found with two days to go) up a side street opposite Reeds House which sells bread, milk etc.
All in all great place to stay as long as you don't mind being out of a town.

Room Tip: Apartment 41.

When we first got there we were disappointed but after a while in Barbados we realised that this accommodation was probably a great deal better than we could have found elsewhere. It suited us as a family very well.

Went on a family holiday with my partner and daughter, there was a few issues on this trip!

Scaffolding around the balcony people painting our balcony (not informed of this) workers outside the bedroom from 8am

Building works below, lots of banging and drilling

2 power cuts in 4 days of being there, one of the showers had no hot water

No reception so unable to get help or advise if needed

Wires exposed from air conditioning unit on balcony, complained about this and it never got resolved

Informed we are not allowed to smoke on balcony, see other people smoking then 2 days before leaving was advised no smoking at all in the resort (basically being asked to leave our daughter upstairs and go off the grounds for a smoke)!!! Would never have booked this resort if was advised of this as we smoke!

There is a man on the committee board who owns his place who is very rude and tells all the children off for having fun around the pool side!

Not a family friendly place, very noisy and disruptive!!

Safe in the room wasn't bolted down so was able to just walk out the room with it! Not a safe safe, then ran out of batteries on the last day so stuff got stuck inside!

Cockroach left on the landing for 4 days, cleaning in the rooms poor! Balcony and bedside tables accumulated dust and dirt.

Will not be staying in this resort again! Completely ruined our holiday which we was really looking forward to!!!
Shame really because it's such a beautiful country and the bajans are very nice people.
