I have recently returned from my December 2020 honeymoon spent at Cap Maison, where myself and my husband had the most amazing time!
After postponing our summer wedding in the winter due to the pandemic, we took a gamble and booked our honeymoon to St Lucia after the travel corridors were announced. We chose Cap Maison as we’re both foodies, and the reviews sounded amazing! Prior to booking I emailed the hotel and from the outset everyone was so kind and helpful. Tricia, Kevin, Keizah and Shernel all went above and beyond to help us and answered any questions quickly and with such a friendly manner. They were also incredibly patient with us when we had more questions of what would happen if we had to postpone our wedding/honeymoon for a second time as we were travelling after the December lockdown was lifted, and again we were shown such kindness by all who answered our numerous panicky emails!
The hotel arranged a helicopter transfer for us following the flight from Gatwick, and that is something we would highly recommend in order to see more of the island. Once we arrived at the hotel we were once again greeted with smiles and kindness and shown to our room, which was an ocean suite villa. The villa was absolutely amazing - three storeys high with the most amazing views of the ocean and when you closed the doors/shutters at night the lapping...I have recently returned from my December 2020 honeymoon spent at Cap Maison, where myself and my husband had the most amazing time!

Once we arrived at the hotel we were once again greeted with smiles and kindness and shown to our room, which was an ocean suite villa. The villa was absolutely amazing - three storeys high with the most amazing views of the ocean and when you closed the doors/shutters at night the lapping of the waves lulled you to sleep. The villa came equipped with everything you could need and more, and the fridge was re-stocked daily.
Although we couldn’t do much during our week (which was much needed after 2020!) the hotel helped us arrange a fine wine tasting in their walk in cellar which was AMAZING! Again, something that we would really recommend - so personal and such a lovely way to spend the early part of our evening before dinner. Our honeymoon package also came with a couples massage which got rid of all the stress built up in our bodies, and once again the hotel were amazing at arranging a boat trip with other guests in order to snorkel, see the pitons and visit the mud baths.
On our last night at Cap Maison we dined on the rock which is an experience we will never forget! Our waitress for the evening Stacey was BRILLIANT - a real gem and really looked after us. We had the obligatory champagne on the zip wire which was amazing, and then a tasting dinner paired with wine. All of the food at both the Cliff and TNF throughout our stay was amazing (not one bad meal or dish at all!), but the fish tasting menu was really delicious and special.
We both felt completely safe and secure during our trip, with our temperature checked a couple of times a day and social distancing and masks in place, and at no point did our feelings of safety change.
We’ve left a piece of our hearts in St Lucia and Cap Maison, and we’re already planning our return trip when things hopefully may be back to normal. More
