We had such a relaxing weekend here, with the light spilling in through the windows and pretty views across the fields.
The hut itself is authentically made and very cosy with the small but effective wood burner. The woodland walks on the doorstep were beautiful and the nearby pub served excellent food. Highly recommend a trip to Mcnades food hall - very good.
The pump shower was slightly bracing in October!
Despite only being 15 minutes from home we were able to get away from it all and have a very relaxing anniversary break. Short walk to lovely village pub followed by a night by the fire pit with food prepared in the great kitchen. Everything you need for a short stay and a lovely setting
The Shepherd's hut offers a real chance for escapism. The setting is beautiful and you are greeted by very friendly sheep and chickens as your neighbours. The hut is nicely done, with a comfortable bed and small table and wood burner, so we weren't cold. The adjacent facilities are well equipped, with crockery, etc in the kitchen and a gas burner and fridge. Everything was clean and there were little extra things that made it more comfortable, such a solar lighting, etc. The owner even put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge as it was my partner's birthday. This is off grid so no electricity but we didn't miss it with the gas fridge etc and the solar lights. Lovely for a weekend away from it all.
