Head to the chapel with frescoes painted by Piero della Francesca. Make sure that you know the story depicted. Very appealing.

The church was built in the 12th century and renovated a hundred years later with the facade and the apse, while the interior was decorated in the Gothic style. Its facade has five arches on the lowest floor and three loggias above it with small arches supported by columns, which are different one from the other. But, you will first look at the impressive bell tower with double row of mullioned windows. The interior of the church is equally impressive!

We got in just before it was about to close. The outside of the church is fascinating. It consists of three "stacks" of columns and arches. In the inside is an altar piece by Pietro Lorenzetti. Well worth a visit.
