“GREAT experience!!!”
Reviewed 3 April 2012

The gondola was a block away. Shopping and great restaurants 5 min walk over the bridge. Around the corner more restaurants, bars and ski and bike shops. In the hotel hot tub/sauna/steam room you could reserve for your group, restaurant, bar, ski room, made service, very clean and tiddy, everyone was professional, friendly and helpful... In the town there was a bread vending machine!!! and a milk vending machine!!!...it was a great time!

Side note, i lost my card in the ATM and the hotel staff helped me by talking to the bank for me and getting my card back (I dont speak italian at all!)

I went to this location on an organized ski trip. The family that owns and runs the hotel provides all their guests with a family experience. They are professional, attentative and in-tune with their guests. It is a great experience. The rooms are extremely clean. As with most EU hotels, not much space in the rooms but enough to be comfortable and they have closets for your clothes. They provide a ski room with heating units for your boots-all great features. The hotel is located by the gondola and the walk to the heart of the village is short and safe to travel alone. I would recommend staying there for your visit!

We just returned from a family ski vacation to Bormio and stayed at the Larice Bianco for the entire week. We were truly impressed with the service and quality of the facility and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful area. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quite large by European standards. Ours had a great view of the town and mountains as well. The hotel's location is perfect for skiers with just a short walk to the gondola and close to shops and cafés for après ski activities. The ski room at the hotel was a real bonus providing heated storage of skis and boots.

Morning and evening meals were included and we began each day with the breakfast buffet consisting of scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage, fresh breads and pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, ect. Everyone in our group had no trouble finding something they liked. Evening dinners became a daily highlight and we looked forward to reviewing the menu each day when we returned from the slopes. These four-course dinners began with various appetizers including salads, cheeses, breads and cured meats. Entrées, main dishes and deserts were different everyday and included many local dishes that we found to be interesting and quite good. The food served at the hotel was so good we didn't feel the need to go try other restaurants in town but we might the next time we visit.

We also used the spa at the hotel and found it to be very complete with a hot tub, sauna, steam room and cold bath. Like every other part of the hotel it was spotless.

The staff was extremely attentive and made us feel very comfortable from when we first arrived until we left. Everyone greeted us each time we saw them and was eager to help with any question we had about the hotel or the town. They went above and beyond in my opinion even helping us to recover my son's wallet that he had lost during security screening at the airport in Rome.

The Sosio family who owns this hotel really knows how to treat travelers well and provides a quality experience. We would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

My husband, two friends and I stay for a week at the Larice Bianco. It is a fantastic hotel and I can recommend it without reservation. If you're a skier, it's a short 5 minute walk to the cable car. If you're more interested in art and history, the old town is just 10 minutes away. You have to drive to get to the old Roman baths and the new baths, but both are worth it.

Breakfast and dinner were included in our package. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options. For those who like their american breakfasts, there were eggs and hot meat every day. For those of us who like to experience the local food, there was fresh bread, yoghurt, pastries, cheeses, etc.

Dinner was incredible every night and was only for guests. It started with a salad buffet with several choices of tapas-like appetizers. Then a choice of first course, usually a soup, pasta and other options. There was also a choice of 3 dishes for dinner. This was followed by a cheese course and then dessert. On Wednesday night, there was a special local dinner, with the same courses, but about 15 different appetizers and all options were from the local cuisine. In addition to great food, the service was impeccable. While this hotel is only rated a 3-star, the dinners were 5-star in my opinion.

This genuine Italian family hotel run by the 3rd generation exceeded our expectations by far. We were 2 families and knew the location was perfect for skiing, just 200m from the main gondola and 5min walk from town center. It was easy to find as well just following directions to the Gondola.

Everything was spotless clean, from the rooms and the seemingly brand new bathrooms to the spa with jacuzzi and sauna. The spa was easily booked and we used it almost everyday of our stay, perfect in size for 2 families. The patrons and staff were very friendly and service minded all week, the patron even giving my brother in law a quick skiing lesson one day and the day we left at 03.00am he was up making sure we got a double espresso each before getting into the car. Fantastic.

We felt all week the passion this family has for the food and wine they serve, they take pride in what they do. My brother in law being in the wine industry had a great time discussing their local varieties which we tried every day (including their excellent house wine) except one, when we had a great Barollo at a very modest price.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation, as it was recommended to us by friends who have been staying here for the past many years on their skiing vacation. We want to go back.

We stayed here for a week for the third time, hotel is crystal clean and is maintained in an excellent state by the family running it. Food is great (thought salad bar could've offered more varieties), ski lift is 3 min walk away, rooms are crisp clean and comfortable. Special thanks to the owners for the their care and personal touch in everything

Room Tip: they have a couple of connected rooms for larger families
