We stayed 7 days in the hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staff is very friendly and professional. And the view over the bay is fantastic. I would recommend it as the perfect stay for a relaxing holiday.....

We have spent about the eightth time our vacation in this hotel and have never been disappointed (as all the many regular guests). Rooms with wonderful patio, room service twice a day, unique view to the sea, short way the beach, fantastic restaurant with sensational mediterranean food and highly motivated, unobstrusive staff that fulfils all desires, appreciated child care, twice a week music with openair dancing (who prefers sleeping before 11.30 should not choose rooms in the 150ies). We will come again any time!

We stayed here for 4 nights early July 2014 - w/ half board. Baia Imperiale is beautifully located on the mountainside off Cavoli beach. The view is amazing. The staff and the waiters are super service minded, happy, relaxed, professional and very attentive towards children and their needs. The tone is friendly and engaging. The evening mail was great - 4-5 courses every night (not a place to go if you are on a diet..:-)) - and the wines we got were nice too. The rooms were a bit small, but we basically just slept there, so it didn't matter much. You can walk directly from the hotel to the beach via a small pathway. We forgot some clothes in the hotel - quite a bit in fact - and asked via e-mail if the hotel staff would be kind enough to send it to our home in Denmark. A few weeks later we received all the missing stuff. So thankful. We would recommend this hotel to both couples and families - and we will for sure be back.

Don't go there!!!!!! That's my advice. It's too expensive for what you get. We stayed here for 5 nights in July, and payed around €650. When I booked I already noticed the prices on Elba are high everywhere, and also I've read in reviews the rooms aren't up-to-date. So I already had no high expectations. But yet I was SO very dissapointed! The old rooms and high prices are certainly not all the bad things!!!!! Let me write it down;
- Twice a week there is very LOUD music, two 'singers' (who can't sing at all) are really screaming in the microphones. Not so fancy....
- The walls are so thin you can hear everything what happens on the outside - including the screaming ('singing') acts twice a week... Awfull....
- Our room had no space for our suitcases, we had to stall them under the beds. Very poor....
- The room was so small, I really want to know how they made their pictures for their website because it doesn't even look like it!
- I don't even tell something about the bed......
- EVERY morning I woke up because of the very loud, almost screaming, lady who worked in the hotel (reception). I think her shift started at 08:00 because that was exactly the time I woke up and hear her screaming and talking. I didn't even ask for the wake-up service.... Grrrr.... This was so very anoying!
- This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, downstairs there's a small crowded beach and some snackbars. Marina di Campo is a ten minutes drive, and a really nice place. I suggest you visit a hotel down there.
- The beach down the hotel (Cavoli) is the WORST beach ever. You have two choices: lay down your towel on THE MOST CROWDED little beach ever, or pay €25 euros a day for a beachbed and then you're also on a very crowded beach. My advice: Go to Marina di Campo everyday by car, pay €6 for parking and then go to the free, spacious beach! That's what we did.

However, despite of all the negative experiences we had, there was however 1 pleasant thing in this hotel: the breakfast! Very good service, fresh orange juice and a lovely view. This was the reason we eventually stayed all 5 nights and didn't leave early.

I never visit this hotel again - neither should you all. I'm serious....
