Owner description: Come on to discover the wine tasting in Tenuta Casanova and fun with Rita's cooking class. One day to appreciate the Tuscan wine, the extra virgin oil, the honey and Silvan's balsamic vinegar. In Tenuta Casanova, you will taste Silvano’s wines; Super Tuscany, Easy to Fall in Love and Chianti Classico, surrounded by beautiful and charmed Tuscan land.

We visited this small organic winery for the tour, wine tasting and lunch. We discovered their totally organic wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Silvano and Rita are fantastic, knowledgeable and gracious. We tasted at least 6 wines and ate a 5 course lunch along with their award winning olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Make it a stop.

Had the pleasure to stop here for wine and food tasting. We were hosted by Silvano who explained everything cleared and shared his passion with us. His balsamic vinegar is amazing and his wines delicious. We’ve shipped some home and can’t wait to savour them. Fantastic experience we defiantly recommend.

We went on the recommendation of friends. I can definitely see the appeal. It's a lovely spot. Beautiful views, nice wines (not unbelievable), delicious food, and appealing decor. Unfortunately, the proprietor, Silvano, is very patronizing and he delivers a canned speech about how fantastic his goods are during the whole time you are there. You can't ask questions or chat or even enjoy each others company. It's a very unusual presentation and not very relaxing or enjoyable. Perhaps if they had a different host we would have enjoyed it more. My whole family was turned off to the experience because of him. We enjoyed several other wineries in the area that I would recommend to friends rather than this one.

Dear friend,
we are sorry that you had such a bad experience with the presentation of our products, but this is the way we work, the presentation is quite technical, and I can see that it might have been boring for you... but if your friends recommended it they enjoyed it and you surely were treated with the same care and attention. Our goal is always that our guests leave with a good memory and the feeling they were part of the family, therefore we are sorry to have given you such a bad impression.
Especially we are always very happy to answer any questions so we don't understand why you had the feeling that you couldn't ask! We would have been more than happy to clarify any doubts or add more information!

We started of with a great cooking class by Rita, the owners wife and cooked typical italian dishes like Pasta and Tiramissu. However, after the cooking class we got a tour over the estate and immediately the atmosphere switched into a very commercial experience. All the products made were the best of the best and could be bought afterwards. During the great lunch (food was unbelievable) the commercial activities continued. A list of all the products for sale was put on the table including prices and shippig costs. Then during the lunch 30 other guests joined and the same commercial story was repeated 4 times, starting with the special fedex deal before explaining what each product was.
All in all, the cooking class was amazing and the consecutive lunch/wine tasting was dissapointing.

This was the first stop on our wine tasting day and it was the best. Silvano is an incredible, passionate host that made us feel like special guests. The balsamic is incredible and the wines amazing. We shipped some home and can't wait to taste to remember our time here. Would recommend to all of our friends for certain.
