This organic vineyard is unique in the Tuscany region because they product organic wines and balsamic vinegar and they hunt white truffles. Go for the tour, stay for the lunch. Come hungry, leave happy. The food is absolutely amazing. The hosts are warm and informative. They cater beautifully to children and dietary restrictions.

On a recent tour we had told our guide that we would like to go to a winery for lunch. He took us to Casanova and what a great experience. Silvano is extremely passionate about his products from balsamic vinegar to his wine. He is a gracious host with a wonderful warm personality that makes you feel immediately welcome. After a short tour of the winery, we sat down for lunch. Great food and wine pairing including truffle topped scrambled eggs. Another one of Silvano’s passions. His wife Rita is an outstanding chef and also offers cooking classes. Dessert was ic e cream topped with some of their 30 year old balsamic vinegar. It IS that good. Products are available to purchase and they will ship directly to your door. The setting among the olive trees and the vineyards is relaxing. If you are anywhere close make sure you call and get a reservation.

The tour of the wine and vinegar cellar is brief and informative. Lunch with the tasting was extremely delicious. The wines are very good and the vinegars and oils are delicious as well. The presentation of the wine and food does seem rehearsed and impersonal, but not as off-putting as others have commented. It would have been nice to have a tour of the farm as well but that would have taken up an entire afternoon with everything else. Go and have fun while having lunch with the peacocks!

We visited this small organic winery for the tour, wine tasting and lunch. We discovered their totally organic wines, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Silvano and Rita are fantastic, knowledgeable and gracious. We tasted at least 6 wines and ate a 5 course lunch along with their award winning olive oil and balsamic vinegars. Make it a stop.

Had the pleasure to stop here for wine and food tasting. We were hosted by Silvano who explained everything cleared and shared his passion with us. His balsamic vinegar is amazing and his wines delicious. We’ve shipped some home and can’t wait to savour them. Fantastic experience we defiantly recommend.
