Charming host, classy entourage, fantastic wine list and a menu to write home about! Surprising combinations, creative and delicious.
We had a wonderful evening for a very reasonable price.
Thank you so much.

We were highly recommended to this restaurent by a dear friend. So we made the effort to drive 2 hours just to have lunch here. And we were so glad we came!! Gianluca and his wife/chef Rosella treated us to a memorable lunch experience. The food was fresh and lovingly prepared with passion and care.
Chef Rosella is warm, charming, elegant, soft spoken, speaks English , and very nice. Her dishes were creative, and demonstrated a fresh approach to healthy eating. Yet, she desires to retain the best of traditional Tuscan cuisine.
We ordered more dishes than normal, as we wanted to try a range of Rosella's cooking. Yet at the end of our meal, we did not feel overly full. A very good thing! The fish wrapped in vine leaf was very moist and tender. All her dishes were well presented, in particular when she served us dessert on a vine leaf, shaped accordingly.
This lovely couple made our lunch most enjoyable.

We both had the raw fish which was first rate, my wife had the Fritos, very god and a very generous portion and I had a curried scampi risotto which was very well cooked. With coffee water around half a bottle of wine and one desert the bill was €100. I think many of the critical reviews as to the prices charged are by people who have no idea how expensive fresh fish is in Italy.

We noted this restaurant because of its mention in the Michelin Guide. We drove to Cecina, parked in a nearby street and walked in on a Sunday lunchtime hoping for a table without a booking. We were lucky - this restaurant should have been full, but it was not and we were given a table.

We were greeted by the proprietor and his wife was our chef and also came out to our table to take our order, answer questions and check all was fine. What a lovely welcome!

We tasted delicious antipasti, primi and secondi - all fish and seafood and all beautifully cooked and presented. I enjoyed two dishes with fresh truffles, which felt like a real treat! There was raw seafood as well as cooked. The cooking was confident and I felt I would gladly eat anything prepared by this kitchen.

We even managed dessert and, upon choosing a homemade green apple sorbet, I was offered the option to have this with calvados and it was a delicious pairing I had not tried before.

We ate with our children who were very much welcomed.

We enjoyed our meal so much we returned just two days later to eat there again.

Our bills came to around £130 and £150, which included a bottle of house wine on each visit, several bottles of water and also coffees.

I felt this restaurant deserves recognition and many customers - we loved it and would happily return.
