“Scenic and tranquil getaway ”

The pink hose is located about 8 km from Cefalu in the mountains overlooking the sea. The views are absolutely stunning. It is quiet and very peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. We spent every evening watching the sunset from the terrace. The apartment is very cute, simple and functional. The pool area is lovely as well.

We have a 6 month old so it was perfect for us to spend evenings at home and cook or grill each night while the baby slept. It is a nice base for doing day trips in the area as well. Speronella and Georgio were very accommodating and provided us with everything we needed for the baby, as well as suggestions around the area.

Overall a lovely stay! Would highly recommend for families, or people looking for a quiet getaway with access to Cefalu.

“Beautiful location”
Reviewed August 8, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Top floor, owners underneath. Beautiful views and occasionally shared pool with owners. 15 min drive from Cefalu on a windy road but you get used to it!
It was very hot but if you keep the sun out of the house, it becomes a shady refuge. Nice interior with character and feels like a loved home.
Peaceful and relaxing. Sunsets and bbq on the terrace.
Wifi was on and off but with two wifi hungry teenagers it was nice that it wasn't available at times!
Owners were helpful and available if you needed them.

“A great place to stay with small children”

Spent nine days at the Pink House this August with our two young children (6 and 4). Although somewhat distant from the beach (15 minute drive, approx), it more than makes up for this with its beautiful views, excellent swimming pool and lively hosts. It is a great base for a quiet holiday with occasional forays to Sicily's abundant cultural and historic attractions. Nearby Cefalú also offers nightlife options for those so inclined (and without small children).

“An excellent place to stay if you like rural tranquility but in easy reach of somewhere more lively in the evening”

We had a lovely holiday at the Pink House. The accommodation was exactly as described and Speronella and Giorgio were super hosts - when we needed any help or assistance they were available. You do need a car to get to it but once you're there you have peace and quite and the pool to yourselves. But it's also a great place to use as a base to visit local towns and villages, or go further afield with helpful advice from Giorgio on what to do and see. In the evenings we would usually go down to Cefalu - you soon get used to all the bends. There's plenty of good restaurants to choose from and it's nice and lively which kept our 18 and 21 year old kids happy. It was our first time in Sicily but we will definitely be returning!

“Spectacular views and a warm welcome to Sicily”

Our family have just had a wonderful holiday staying at The Pink House. We were met by the owners Speronella and her husband and guided to the property. Speronella had very kindly bought us groceries for our first evening there, including a bottle of wine! The views from the Pink House are truly spectacular looking across the Mediterranean Sea, the bay below and the adjacent mountains. We had sole use of the swimming pool and if we needed anything Speronella and her husband were only to happy to oblige, they could not have been more friendly. We really enjoyed Cefalu which is only a few miles away and offers beautiful sandy beaches with plenty of places to eat, was fun to explore the little streets, the duomo and climb la Rocca . We also visited Mount Etna and the Valley of the Temples easily from our location. Car hire is essential.
We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave...

Loved the villa just a bit disappointed with the dogs barking which were in the distance and not the owners dogs but we really didn't sleep well on three nights out of seven ! Villa had everything you could possibly want, we loved the pool the views the sunset. Speronella came t meet us as I think we would of never found it. We found Cerfelu too busy for us to be honest but it was August. Had some good meals in villa and two out in other towns. We came back relaxed, you need a car and the best part of our holiday was climbing mount Etna, not to be missed.

Lovely welcome, met by Speronella and her husband on the main road to guide us to the house which is fairly remote. Once there the drive is well worth it when you see the views on offer from the terrace.
All needs catered for, wifi avaiable but we did not use. Excellent pool which we had sole use of as the owners rarely used.
Only slight fault was the water pressure and temperature in the shower but this was minor.
Overall a great holiday in a fabulous corner of the world
