My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise from the Civitavecchia Port and found it to be very pleasant. (Note, the hotel is about a 10-15 minute cab ride from the port and the main town of Civitavecchia.) The employees were all wonderful and very helpful. As the hotel does not have an elevator and rooms are on different floors (ours was down one level) we were offered assistance with our luggage. Our room was comfortable, overlooking the water with a lovely breeze coming in through the shutters. The TV did not offer any English speaking channels BUT hey, we were in Italy, - not a problem! The hotel has a full service restaurant as well as a pizza restaurant. We tried the pizza and truly enjoyed it - and the price was very reasonable. The breakfast offered provided a good selection of items. The hotel offers paid transfers (5 Euros pp) to the port. We found the hotel very nice, decently priced and a great selection for the overnight prior to our cruise. If those are some of the qualities you are looking for in the Civitavecchia area then this may be the hotel for you!

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children - 7 and 1,5 years old) stayed at Sunbay Park hotel before the boat trip in October 2016. We arrived with no reservation and got the room for reasonable price (71 EUR including city tax). As our son is only 1,5 years old we needed a baby cot, absolutely no problem at all to get it ready in a few minutes. Breakfast very good, planty of food, good choice. While we were on the sea trip we were allowed to leave our car at the hotel car park for free, we really appreciate. I would definitely recommend Sunbay park hotel to other travellers who look for an overnight stay before the boat cruise and even for travellers who look for a quiet place out of the city centre.

booked a room at this hotel, but instead assigned a room in a residence 600 yards away.....no phone, TV did not function, fridge not operating, safety box w/o batteries, no bathroom amenities, no reception or employees at the residence till following morning, asked for a taxi at 11.30 only got it at 13.30 rude and unpleasant personnel at main reception, also general cleanliness of room left a lot to be desired.....I could write even more about this hotel but I believe this will suffice to have future guests to stay far away from this property which was recommended by expedia.ca

We booked an ocean view room with a balcony and this was not what they gave us how ever after telling us they were fully book they finally gave us the room we booked so we were pleased.
It is an older hotel but well kept and very clean. The breakfast was the best (included) breakfast we have ever had. Coffee was delicious. The shuttle to the port was very slow because of heavy traffic.

First stop on our vacation so this place is responsible for my numerous BED BUG bites on my arms, shoulders and legs! We liked the place, great view, good food but it made the next 5 days of our trip uncomfortable- had to use cortisone cream to stop the itching!
I sent them an email and heard nothing back. How sad because it is a beautiful spot.
