My friends and I discovered this little gem of a restaurant last year when we arrived in Civitavecchia to hop on a cruise. And this year when we met in Rome on our way onto another cruise, all we could talk about was how great our dinner was last year. As soon as we arrived in Civitavecchia, we headed over to Dolce & Salato for lunch...then returned that evening for dinner.
The food is incredible - freshly prepared for each order. Yes, they do not speak much English (and I speak no Italian) but we managed to communicate.
And OMG - the pasta at lunch and then the seafood platter at dinner. Simply amazing!
We'll go back next year before we hop on our next transatlantic
