A good hotel for a visit to this town - old sector just nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The jacuzzi bath did not work - but hey thats a small price!

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks during our summer school organised in this small city between Bologna and Rimini. The hotel itself seems to be a bit antique, with antique furniture and painted ceilings. The service is very nice and the buffet breakfast was very tasty, even if everyday there was the same choice. The location is perfect because it is a stone throw away from the historical center of Faenza and the museum of majolica. Some other nice and traditional osteria (restaurants) are around, while the staff is always ready to help. Free usage of hotel's bicycles is possible.

Things that I did not like were not fault of the hotel: there is a huge church near the hotel and its bells basically can make you deaf since they go on and on for several minutes and during an inappropriate time period (early morning, afternoon). The price of the hotel is also a bit expensive for students or other non-business people.

All and all, I had a very nice stay at the Hotel Vittoria, which I would recommend to business people, but not to students, backpackers or other interested stakeholders.

Room Tip: Try to get the front rooms, which are smaller but more quiet. 111 is the biggest room, but it has it...

While this hotel has a 4-star rating, it doesn't provide much more than a good 3-star hotel should. That said, my room was adequate - small, with too many items of furniture. The theme was 'liberty style' but this didn't really work. An advantage of the hotel is its location: midway between the railway station and the main piazza, on an interesting street. There was good service by the reception staff. I paid only 65 euros a night, but this low price might reflect that Faenza is not on your normal tourist trail.

Room Tip: A room at the front, on Corso Garibaldi, might be better than the rooms at the back of the building

Our room was huge!! Bathroom was nice as well. Breakfast was large and full of variety. When we go back, we will stay here again.

Using my GPS we found the hotel without too much difficulty, but I do wish parking was easier, but on the other hand one of the things we loved about the city was that nearly everyone either walked or rode bicycles so that the town at least by the hotel was very quiet. The hotel staff was very helpful in suggestions for dinners and excursions on the train. Once we got to the hotel, we left the car parked and walked wherever we needed to go. Breakfast was good, although it is not an English nor American style. There was a good selection of meats, cheeses, cereals and breads/sweets. We absolutely loved the town and this Hotel is right in the center near the town square where it seemed they had a market set up each day, easy walking to anything you wanted to do in town.

Though Faenza is probably not the first city coming to mind when thinking of Italy, if you do find yourself there (not a bad thing :), this is definatly the hotel you want to stay at.

Located as close to the historic center as possible, convenient and free parking at the back with amazning (antique), clean rooms and great English speaking staff and even more - with prices rather surprising at thier low level.

Even the locals (met some that are not affiliated in any way) say this is the best hotel in town.

I stayed here with my parents for 3 nights. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station. We had little trouble finding it. The rooms are average. Our room faced the street and one night it was pretty loud. We would leave in the morning and come back only in the evening, so we didn't spend too much time in the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was good. The complimentary breakfast was ok. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful. There is a computer with internet access in the lobby but you have to pay for it. Overall, this hotel was average.
