Never wrote a review before, but this may help someone thinking of booking this hotel. My husband and I have visited different parts of Italy for over 12 years, and have always had a good hotel. But this hotel was a big disappointment to us. We are very easy to please, just like a nice hotel and nice staff. I looked at trip adviser before I booked it I saw bad reviews, but taught it can't be that bad. It was, Couldn't get sun beds at pool, when down before 8 in the morning towels on them all, sat on chairs for hours, half sun beds not used, lots of people complained. The staff at the desk so unhelpful another couple and ourselves asked to speak to manager she was so rude . We were all told that they have sun beds on beach we could hire for 15 euro a day, we told her we had paid nearly 4,000 euro for 2 weeks holidays , told her 30 sun beds for the hotel was not enough, they didn't care. The best staff in the hotel were the cleaning ladies, so friendly ,a smile and a hello every day. They should teach the desk staff how to treat customers. Will never ever be back at this hotel.

Room Tip: One with sea view

Just back from stay at this hotel - very hot 2 weeks and not enough sunbeds - actually counted 32 sunbeds by the pool for a full hotel!!! No shade by the pool at all, the few umbrellas that were available we were not allowed use in the smallest breeze. Spare sunbeds were moved to the beach at a cost of €15 a day. When we confronted the manager about the lack of sunbeds, she was most unhelpful and offered no recourse - her attitude was take it or leave it. Food in the restaurant was well below 4 star standard. On the last day, our flight was late in the evening and no room was made available to shower or even change our clothes and our cases were left in in a unsecured room. We wouldn't recommend this hotel at all - we will have been in touch with our agent to lodge a complaint through them also. 4 star price for a 2 star service

Nice hotel and would live up to its 4 stars would it not be for the poor attention to guests needs. Not enough sun beds and umbrellas to accommodate the amount of guests and sirely attitude is some staff depressed our view of this lovely hotel. Reception staff, room maintenance team and poolside bar team were absolutely great but sadly let down by the poor attitude of the breakfast team who paid too much attention to cut of time and their rules. The poor provision of sun terrace sun beds and unbrellas was compounded by the selfish placing of towels to " reserve " places sometimes as early as 7.00 am, but had this this been looked at by the team the situation would not have been so desperate. When approached by guests the poolside team moved extra beds away from the poolside onto the beach for which the hotel was charging 15 Euros a day for 2 beds and an umbrella, which was not stated on their website only that it was a private beach.
I would mention however that the poolside bar team especially Giovanni made us feel very welcome and were extremely attentive

We stayed as part of a Saga group of forty people. Our room was fine with a small balcony but a lovely sea view. Yes the shower did leak a bit but there was no shortage of hot water and plenty of room in the shower.
Towels were plentiful, including towels for the sunlougers. Air conditioning worked very well and was not noisy, wifi was free and quite speedy. There was plenty of variety for breakfast food and very good tea bags available. Service for dinner was very good and friendly, food well prepared and we had reasonable choice - no dreadful buffets!
Lifts are very slow but we used the stairs to burn off some calories. The hotel is well situated there is an excellent supermarket across the road and many small restaurants nearby if you want a change of scene for lunch and they are very reasonably priced. Drinks in the hotel are quite expensive, city prices 8.50 euros for a gin and tonic! But aperol soda wa s only 4.5 euros.l

I stayed 3 nights I was in a group of 40 people. I liked this hotel very much. It's location right by the beach is great & it was a pleasure to sit outside by the pool or in the shaded area for drinks, reading, soaking up the sun or just chilling out. The staff were very friendly & helpful. My room was clean. Some people said their rooms were falling apart, mine was ok, the electric socket that I charred my phone on seemed a but dodgey & the shower leaked but that did not stop me enjoying my stay. Food was good except for the 'Sicilian' dinner, which was possibly the worst food of the whole tour. Drinks are London prices but if you need to save mines then go over the road to the supermarket which sells everything you need inc chilled wine, beer etc plus the make sandwiches & salads to take away.
Hotel location is good, near the shops, cafes & bus station where it is easy to get he local bus to Taourmina
Good air conditioning but I had to turn it off when time to sleep as I got too cold.

Room Tip: Sea view but I had a side room which was fine

The landscaping and main floor of this hotel are lovely! The room was nice but the hair dryer had a frayed cord which gave me a shock. They clearly knew about it because electrical tape was wrapped around the cord and had moved over repeated use, re exposing the fray. Pretty dangerous!
