Fantastic place...well located and an extremely attentive staff!! The beds are adequate but can use some upgrading!!! Everything else is excellent!! The location is excellent if you want a tiny commute from the train syation and if you want to be near the heart of things!!
Dear Guest, thank you for your positive comments. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Best regards.
The Grand Hotel is a minute from the train station and about 5 from the old town. There are also many buses nearby that are great for getting in and out of Lecce for day trips. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable beds. And the staff is very friendly and most spoke English very well. The pool is nice for after a day of walking around and exploring. I just wish they made better use of the pool with a bar or something. I’d stay there again.
Dear Guest, thanks for your kind words and positive feedback. We very much appreciate it. See you soon again. Best regards.
Recommendable hotel that was very well and lovely renovated five or six years ago in the style of the 1920s. See my attached pictures below. The ceiling of the rooms in the second and third floor are more than 3.50 or even more meters high (great!!). In the first floor even 5m.
Our room looked to the Main Street but it was quiet on Sunday morning. The room had efficient and quiet air condition, a safe and mini bar. The large marble bathroom was equipped with a kind of whirlpool bathtub, a wonderful huge mirror and a roaring hairdryer (which hopefully you never need because of the very thin but overheated air stream). And take care not to screw down your fingers when you are closing the sliding door to the bathroom! Unfortunately the water had a slightly ‘rotten’ smell but it is to my knowledge hygienic uncritical.
The pool in the courtyard is not big (5x10m) but very clean and protected from wind. 10 sun chairs and four umbrellas are available. Breakfast is served on a wonderful terrace close to the pool. The hotel is located very close to the old town of Lecce which offers a lot of historic sites and of course restaurants and bars. Very friendly staff in reception and Restaurant. Very reasonable prices: below 100€/room and night.
Stayed for a week. Great location to historic quarter (5 mins away). Pool very clean and well maintained. Staff excellent. No Barca bit strange but could order from reception. Rooms large and comfortable and great value.
Dear Guest, we would like to thank you for your feedback. Best regards.
The location and the building are amazing. This said, hotel is really rundown. It must have been amazing some years ago, but right now is just average. Our shower never really worked, inspite of a visit from a technitian, so I ended up having to shaower in parents in law bathroom.
On relation to the breakfast, the hotel could just prepare smaller food quantities and make sure fresh food is served every day. Having the same vegetables languish over several days is just a big no.
