The hotel was selected by using the following criteria: distance to the sea, parking lot, WiFi. We landed to Bologna, took a car and in two hours came to hotel. You know in August all places near the coast are full of cars. It was wise to book a hotel with a parking lot. The hotel is practically integrated to a beach and there is a swimming pool as an extension of the restaurant at the ground floor. Instead of sunbeds at the beach there are king size beds, rather creative and comfortable idea. Personal was very helpful, many thanks! Nice sunny weather was an excellent supplement to our stay.

Room tip: there are rooms with a sea view and balcony

We traveled here for only a 1 night stay...mainly to experience San Vitale and the surrounding grounds. Hotel provided a very large full breakfast with our room. The pool area seemed to be a pretty good nightlife area except for the rain the night we stayed. I would come back here another time.

Room tip: Get a Seaview room...check pictures to see why

We booked in for five days in 2nd week of October. Fantastic welcome and great location right on the beach. Got upgraded front seaview room and the staff couldn't do enough and very apologetic that the restaurant was closed but perfect breakfast buffet delivered to the suite each morning. We were booked B&B.
Soon became apparant why the restaurant was closed as this was the only hotel open in the resort and we rapidly became the only guests in the hotel. Having an entire resort to yourself was a bit bizarre. downside was that everything else, literally everything, was shut apart from one bar at the other end of the resort and we only ever saw one person there. This meant having to travel a couple of miles to Cervia to eat each day or make sure day trips out to Ravenna etc incuded meal times.
The three staff in the hotel looking after us meant brilliant personal service but distinct lack of any atmosphere without other guests. Expected to see tumbleweed rolling down the streets in the breeze.
Would definitely go back as rooms and service are top notch but probably nearer higher season for more atmosphere and local services.

Just checked into Room 51, which was advertised as having a "lateral sea view". It has NO sea view, unless you go outside and around the corner on the balcony, where you get a tiny glimpse of sea, if you're at the edge and standing up. We cannot even open the curtains, since our room looks directly into the apartment building next door. There is no air conditioning except in the guest rooms - the lobby and restaurant are "open air" and felt like a sauna. I was bitten twice by mosquitoes during the check-in process in the lobby. NO English language TV channels - very different from our experiences in 18 other hotels on our driving trip of Europe, where we always found at least 2, and most of the time 4-6. We shared our concerns with the hotel staff, who were not helpful in any way. The proposed solution to the mosquito problem was to eat in the restaurant anyway and then go to the pharmacy to get a mosquito pen to minimize the pain and swelling from the bites. Fortunately, we are leaving tomorrow morning - and warning our travel agent about these issues so that she won't recommend this hotel to any other clients.
