While the apartments in the villa and its owner (Luca) are both nice, we sadly had a few issues during our stay here, amongst them: The "free shuttle" from/to the port didn't exist (we later found out you apparently have to call 48h ahead for this). So we had to resort to walking (good 15min, hilly) or paying an incredibly pricey taxi. We were also caught out by a rather large hidden cleaning fee (50 euro), which didn't show in the total we would have to pay on our reservation confirmation (hotels.com). On a positive note, Luca gave us a few good recommendations for our time on Lipari, including a great private boat hire, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
