We have stayed in Astra for 5 days in room 106 with nice mountain view balcony. Location of this hotel is perfect as you can just walk out 30 m taking lifts to Corosello. Ski bus stop is just outside an ski rental on the other side of the street. They have one of the best restaurants in Livingo.
Originally we had booked for 4 people, but were able to increase by one person even though the room is not made for 5 people. Great food and fantastic service. On the morning we left, we were given a breakfast basket, because we left before breakfast was served in the restaurant.
The hotel is situated right below the Dos 18 lift which was where our ski school met, so the location was perfect for us. To get to other parts of Livigno is easy because the bus stops right at the corner of the Hotel.
A great hotel that I would recommend to anyone.
Service is optimal, you never wait when you ask the waiter something or you never have to remind them. Quality of the food is excellent and you have a large selection of dishes.
Situation of the hotel : on the ski slopes, in front of the ski school. Approximately 20' walk from Livigno downtown, but free use of the buses.
We travelled in family - 2 adults + 2 children and the room was too small in order to store all our luggages (ski wear do take a lot of space).
I highly recommend this hotel.
I only visited the restaurant at hotel Astra as it is located right at the bottom of Doss 18 - a great skilift area for kids and with direct access to the carosello lift via a buttom lift.
We had pizzas wich were absolutely approved - But the Spaghetti carbonara is absolutely spitzenklasse. Amongst the best if tried in all Italy - thus worth a visit only to try the carbonara:-)
Halfboard was great idea, the restaurant was excellent one. Just be aware that only food and vegetable salads are included, all water and wine are extra which was not clearly stated. I got sore neck from the bed but it passed away after few days. The sauna was pleasant and already included.
Once again we stayed in Livigno at Hotel Astra,and once again it was a pleasure to stay there.
