Decent hotel for a decent price. Me and three friends stayed a week during marc halv pension and we were all happy with the stay at the hotel. Ok distance from the ski slopes and nice and helpful personal. Also there is a sauna and relaxing area which was very nice!

Rooms are also ok.

The location is very good - you are just a couple of minutes walk from one of the Mottolino lifts (I preferred this mountain to Carosello 3000). So you don't need a bus, as you can get to any point of the mountain by lifts. But take into account, that you can get back by black slope only - not an option for everyone.
This location is not noisy as well in relation to the center. However, some people make it noisy once in a while by behaving themselves badly. I was nearly shocked witnessing some drunk families singing out of loud in front of their children during the dinner some national songs (some of them standing on the chairs).
Nevertheless, we've never had a problem during the night. Maybe because of our room good location (far from the bar). I would suggest room 44 - far from the entertainment facilities + great view.
The food is OK. Some was good, some just not my taste. Nevertheless, it's more than enough to get your stomach full! :) We had HB and one thing I was missing is no soft drinks during the dinner. Even for water you need to pay... Breakfast was very good besides a small water boiler for eggs. You have only 6 slots there and they are always busy in the morning. It takes at least 10 min! to prepare an egg in this boiler. Tea, coffee and juices are included.
Room cleaning was very good and in time.
The staff is very pleasant and helpful!
There is even a small kitchen in the room with a small fridge. However, there is no any crockery available and an electrical oven is quite useless in this case.
Something wrong with drainage system there - it was always smelly in the bath room.

Room tip: Room 44 - far from the entertainment facilities + great view.

The Hotel is by no means modern or new but has a antique feel to it. The rooms were clean and the personal friendly. We were surprised by wonderful food. Unfortunately the hotel does not have elevators and it could be a problem for elderly visitors. Wi-Fi in the rooms were pretty good.

Room tip: If you have trouble climbing stairs ask for rooms with less stairs to climb

It is the loudest hotel I have ever been. We got a room next some German group, they had always opened all 3 rooms and have party for every night. We asked the receptionist to change the room. So we got some room upstairs next to some Italian family.. they were screaming to each other every night, hit the door.. I don´t know if somebody who is normal can get up at 4 AM and scream to each other like animals..
Otherwise the staff on the reception was friendly.. The equipment was quite old... really very small shower, very small hair dryer, dust on the top of the wardrobe..
Breakfast was every day the same - one ham, one mortadella, one cheese, you can cook the egg on your own.. something sweet, musli and fruit. The juice was really chemical and disgusting. No fried eggs, sausage..or vegetables.
I would say that this hotel have two stars maximmum.

We spent a week at Hotel Margherita and we were impressed with the friendly service provided by the staff especially those at front office. They even helped us with snow chains for our car. I felt that I could really ask for any form of assistance. The location of the hotel is not far from the centre of Livigno and also close to the one of the bus stops of the free bus service.
