We booked this hotel last minute. Looked great in the pictures and reviews were all really high. We arrived to a lovely old building with some additional newer parts but still in keeping with the rest. Beautiful gardens and infinity pool are lovely. There is art and sculptures around the grounds and in the main building. The staff other than so lovely & welcoming very professional, all in uniform and all look very smart. Of all the places I have been to around the world this is one place I will definitely come back to, its pretty much perfect for us, by the way the food is absolutely excellent and I'm really fussy !!
The town is amazing too only 20 mins walk but good exercise as a bit steep but something for everyone & you can go up the mountain to Monte Baldo which is well worth the trip.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in and is in the most stunning location. We booked a junior suite which had amazing views of the lake, a lovely balcony, a brilliant comfortable bed, amazing shower room, amazing lighting, lovely towels ... the list is endless. We have never known a hotel to be so peaceful which made for a truly relaxing stay. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated approximately 1 mile from the centre. We tried various ways of getting into town i.e. the steps and lakeside path, the main road, the tourist bus - but felt the walk along the road to the zebra crossing and then down to the lake from here was easiest. We are relatively fit, but coming back up those 100 steps from the lake of an evening could be a bit of a killer. The tourist bus option is ok but was generally quite full so we found it more relaxing to buy some gelato in town and stroll back to the hotel on the road. Malcesine itself has an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants and we found prices to be really reasonable. We took boat trips to Limone and Riva and both places are well worth a visit. It was very hot whilst we were there, but there is plenty of shade within the grounds of the hotel and the aircon in the room was excellent. We would definitely recommend this fabulous hotel and hope to return one day.

Room Tip: Junior suites are lovely

This is an excellent hotel with an amazing restaurant. In fact the quality of the food is one of its greatest merits even though it has views to die for and well appointed rooms. I recommend booking half-board to enjoy the wonderful dinners overlooking the lake.

The hotel is very beautiful and close enough to the town center. We had an amazing view from our room with Terrace. Facing west you get to see the sunset at night. The pool is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The room was on the smaller size, but we didn't expect any different. Lots of places to sit outside and inside for relaxing. Very much recommended.

Room Tip: We were facing west, lake view with a terrace.

I spent 10 days here at the end of May beginning of June. Every night the 5 course tasting menu was outstanding - absolutely delicious. Timi and his efficient and friendly front of house team had the perfect blend of professionalism with a twinkle. We loved every meal. The setting is gorgeous - hard to beat really. The rooms were not quite tip top and our shower took ages to get warm but we forgave the hotel this as everything else was so wonderful. Would definitely return!

Room Tip: lake view is amazing
