If you are thinking of visiting malcesine you must stay in this hotel. Roberto and all his staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble. It is spotlessly clean, rooms are comfortable, lovely breakfast room with a great choice of food. The pool area is very relaxing with spectacular views of the mountains and plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The hotel is in a great location close to the lake and a beautiful 20 minute stroll along the lakeside to the centre of malcesine where you will find an abundance of shops and restaurants as you walk the cobbled streets. Plenty of places to visit either by bus, boat or on foot. This is our 11th stay at the hotel benacus can't wait fir the 12th!!! Mario and maggie Domanski

Room Tip: All rooms have great views.

We stayed at Hotel Benacus for the first week of our honeymoon, we had read excellent reviews before booking so were expecting a lot but the stay went on to surpass our already high expectations.
The personal, and high service levels were evident throughout our stay and we enjoyed our time on site in the hotel restaurant and beside the pool just as much as we enjoyed the time venturing out to the beautiful town centre of Malcesine.

We therefore would like to say a big thank you to Roberto, Roberta and staff for making the first week of our honeymoon so special! We will definitely be back in the future!

Alex and Jennifer

Room Tip: Request a lake facing view, allows for some enjoyable leisure time on the balcony

This was our 3rd consecutive year staying at Hotel Benacus and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Roberto and Roberta. All the hotel staff are warm and friendly and you feel you "belong". Only another 50 weeks until we can return

Would highly recommend to anyone!!!

Loved our stay here. Lovely pool, comfortable bed, air conditioning great, which was essential as 39 degrees. Family run hotel and staff couldn't do enough for us.
They gave us information about best places to eat, trips etc and discounts available.
Tourist bus available (red) outside hotel for Malcesine, tickets available at reception costing one Euro per person . Hotel is about a kilometre from the town so is quieter in the night but easy to access. Could also walk on lovely path on lakeside with a few bars and places to eat.

We were part of a large party visiting Lake Garda for a wedding (our son's) and Hotel Benacus was the hotel of choice for the guests.
The hotel, as other reviewers have said, is spotlessly clean, has a great pool, a good bar, good bar snacks and most of all great staff who are friendly and very helpful without going over the top.
All the plus points are in other reviews and I agree with them all but as a bit of information for future guests there are no laundry facilities for guests on site which is a pity. We overcame this by washing clothes in the room and drying them in the hotel laundry room and ironing them in this room which you are welcome to do. Not a big issue but one to be aware of.
We have every intention of returning next year and enjoying a somewhat more relaxing visit.
