Just returned from a 2 week break staying at the Mondial. We arrived 17th October so late in the season. The hotel is well appointed, 5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk into town. We had a standard room on the 5th floor with a sea view. Room not huge but very clean, bathroom with shower only, again clean and tidy. No tea or coffee makers in the room. We used to get room service to bring up a pot of tea and coffee some evenings until we found that on top of the drinks charge, 8Euros, a 12 Euro service charge was made. Nice balcony, wonderful sunsets. Staff are all very attentive, special mention to the lady on reception, whose name escapes me, for all her help with planning journeys.
We used the spa sparingly, treatments were expensive compared with UK.
Breakfast was very good lots of choice.
We didn't dine at the hotel in the evenings but there are so many good restaurants in the town offering really good food at decent prices, chose to go there.
The hotel is well placed for travelling around, buses and train services are excellent.
Most of the beaches were closing up while we were there, I think in high season it would be a very busy resort.
A nice hotel in a pleasant resort.More
