The restaurant Bagno Stella is only a couple of streets from the hotel Ritz turning right at the front door.going away from the beach. There are a few other shops nearby and a "Journale/Tabacce (pronounced "tabakki") shop which is the only place in Italy ,apart from a general post office, to buy stamps. There is also always a letter box.
The restaurant itself was fine.It opens for evening meals around 7.30pm.A 3 course meal with a large bottle of good beer and a glass of red house wine cost for the two of us 52 euros so it wasn't cheap.Eating out in Italy is rarely cheap. The staff were very pleasant and there was no bother getting separate bills for the three couple present(organised beforehand). In Italy if you order a fish or a cutlet that is what you get.If you want anything else on your plate you must tell them as everything else has a cost.Bread is always placed in front of you and added to your bill
regardless of not ordering it.
