We just returned from a wonderful holiday in the Amalfi/Sorrento area and spent seven great nights at Magnolia House (we stayed here last May as well). The villa is located in the small, non touristy town of St. Agata Sui Due Golfi which is the perfect location to explore all of the Amalfi Coast and the Massa Lubrense area. Naples and Pompeii are within an hours drive (Naples by ferry 20 minutes ). Sorrento is an easy 20 min drive/bus ride or an easy 45 minute walk thru the lemon groves. The Massa Lubrense coastal towns are a must to visit. Walking/hiking trails are right outside your door. The town of St. Agata is beautiful with several great restaurants/pizzerias, cafes, gelato shops, cheese and fresh pasta shops and a supermarket. The villa is very spacious, spotless clean, a great kitchen, and a wonderful terrace and garden to enjoy the sun or to have your meals or wine al fresco. Lucia and Francesco are the ideal hosts and will greet you with true Italian warmth, they will help you with any questions you have of the region. A true gem in a perfect location.

We just got back from a three week trip to Italy. Two wonderful weeks of that trip were spent at Magnolia house.
The apartment was generous in size for two and would easily accommodate four. It has a large, wonderfully equipped kitchen opening onto a covered terrace which looks out onto a nicely landscaped yard overflowing with blooming flowers and lemon trees. The living room is large and comfortable and opens onto a terrace with partial view to the Gulf of Salerno.
The location is central to Sorrento, Positano and sights and rugged landscape of the peninsula. There are shops and restaurants within easy walking distance and marked hiking trails are accessible for walks throughout the area. We walked to Sorrento - about 1200 feet in vertical drop over about two miles or so - a great walk with wonderful vistas.
Our stay was overseen by owners Lucia and Francesco - a warm, generous and attentive couple who provided a welcoming of wine, pastries and fresh flowers and followed up with a prepared meal for one of our dinners. We ended up having dinner with them twice during our stay - once with us doing the cooking and another with Lucia doing the honors.
We would highly recommend Magnolia House to anyone who wants to experience life on the peninsula in a really relaxing atmosphere.
We just got home from one of the best Italy experiences ever!
Staying with Lucia and Francesco at the Magnolia House was so much more than expected!
Daily contact by them, asking if we had any needs/directions/advice, was just a small part of the friendliness.
When they learned that we were going to try and visit a property an hour and a half away, they insisted that we go with them, in their car, at their expense!
A week there was so relaxing and unstressful that whenever we return to that area, we'll surely go to be with them.
