We stayed at Centrale for 2 nights and it was not a good experience. We booked double room online and when we reached they said they are giving room with 2 separate beds. We asked to change and then got a smelly room at the back with cobwebs. We asked to give original twin bed room. It was a small, dark and gloomy room with no space to keep luggage, beds were uncomfortable.
Breakfast had ONLY sweet cakes and biscuits, not even eggs.
The only good thing was that there was a bus stop right in front of hotel to get bus to Venice.
I would rather stay in a hotel in Venice or Lido for the same price.

Good sized room, good bathroom, good location very close to a bus for Venice and The airport, also close to Mestre Reailway station.
There are only 2 negative points, first one is the poor breakfeast with just small bread and toasts, and the second one happened when they tried to sale me a bus ticket per EUR 3,00 when in the Tabacharie just outside the price was EUR 1,30. So we have to be smart!
In general it is a good hotel! Specially because at night for dinner you have a lot of good options around.

Although some walk from the station to the hotel, is well positioned to visit both Venice and Mestre downtown with shops and terraces .Rooms are small and noisy although I think that is a good solution for a few days given that the hotel had a good price as I paid 70 euros per room with breakfast buffet.

Apart from the good location of the hotel already remarked upon (if you get a bus to Mestre from the airport ask the driver to tell you where to get off as it's quite a way from the station) the general quality of our room and breakfast was poor apart from the bathroom which was ok. The gloomy ceiling tiles were held together by sticky tape, the 20 year-old tv had only one channel and even that did not work, the breakfast was basic and very poor quality and the hotel carpets looked faded and dirty.Unless the 4 or 5 star reviewers had totally renovated rooms and we were unlucky I just cannot understand the positive reviews.

The pros :
- Great Location. In the heart of downtown Mestre. A lot of shops and restaurants all around by walk. Easy access to Venise by bus.
- Breakfast was okay (and included)
- Service was okay (Frontdesk was helpful).

The cons :
- The room wasn't clean up before we checked-in. We found hair in the bathroom and a lot of dust in the floor :( It was disgusting ! :( Bathroom tiny.
- The room was tiny and the bed unconfortable. Smells old and bad :(
- A lot of noise in the Hotel. We could hear people talking and TV all around.
- WI-FI connection wasn't working in our room (weak signal)
- The reception was infested with mosquitoes. The anti-mosquito products doesn't exist anymore ?
