A very nice hotel close to both city center and the train up to Alto. The rooms where very nice and clean. The personal was very friendly and service minded. They made very good recommendations both for food and other activities to do in the area. We will for sure return to this hotel.

Calling it a 4* hotel is way too much, it might have all the facilities to qualify as such, but the quality is very poor.
At check-in, they made sure to tell us we booked an economy room, which I would still expect to be an acceptable room in a 4* .. Well it turned up being a joke, air conditioning was not working properly and the bathroom was sickening (clogged shower, yellow dirty curtain and a intense smell of pee). We did complain and got another room, which was acceptable.
The choice of food for breakfast was OK, while there was again lacking in quality. Cold meats and cheese was just laying on the table, with no container to cool it down or at least keep it fresh. Dry assortment of bread and brioche.
We did not dare to swim in the swimming pool, as one could barely see the bottom of it and there was so much garden trash floating on it.
On our last night we would have liked a cocktail at the bar, and although we were told there will be service until 12am, there was no bartender and the night guards was just so nice to make us an easy drink. Even though the price on the card was 7€, for some reason we were charged 9€ for it at checkout.

Montecatini Terme is a very touristic place, where one hotel lays next to another, so if you are looking for the real Tuscany experience stay away from it, and especially from the Grand Hotel Panoramic.

Dear Ms. Parasca,

we are very sorry to read this review.. The first room that we gave you, had some problem with the bath, right, but we changed immediately the room without any problem. For the drink, we have a copy of invoice that you paid and the drink was € 7.00 and we charged in your room € 7.00 and not € 9.00 as you telling.
For the swimming pool we have people who takes care of it every day. Sometimes you can find some leaves brought by the wind, but i don't think it was the problem.
Every day a lot of people enjoy to swim here and everybody are happy.
Hoping to get you back in our hotel to make you change your mind,

Best regards
Chiara

Three day stay in this hotel and busy on a group travel tour most of the time. Hotel met our needs yet I'd agree with music_girl's review for more details. The front desk could be more personable. Our tour guide had requested the porter to assist us, due to special need, but he was no where to be found when we needed his assistance. The food was good both for breakfast and for an evening group meal. The area surrounding this hotel was spectacular.

Thanks for your review
Sorry for disagreement with the porter but I know that for your request it was very late in the night to solve the little problem;in fact the next day the technician repaired it.
It was nice to have you as our guests and I hope to see you next time.

I stopped here with my parents for 9 nights in July. We used it as a base for traveling around and sightseeing Tuscany.
The main thing to say is that this is NOT a four star hotel - I do a lot of traveling and this is not what I imagine a four star hotel to be - it is a three star hotel and if advertised as such it would have tempered my expectations.
We had two rooms next door to each other on the fourth floor. As a single room, mine was OK but for two people they were really small. The rooms didn't have any tea/coffee facilities (something most four stars do have). The hotel was supposed to have air conditioning - which was a small unit under the window. This is also controlled by the hotel management, and they had a tendency to turn it off in a morning (around 5:30-6) which meant by the time I woke up the room was already ridiculously hot. Often getting it turned back on required going down to reception and asking them to do so. They did but the unit was fairly useless anyway. It wasn't cool while we were there either - temperatures regularly were in the low to mid 30's. The bathrooms had no ventilation and so after having a shower (even a cool one!) they were unbearably hot! If you go in summer, keep the doors shut between rooms - it's the only way to make it vaguely manageable.
The rooms were clean, however, the bedding wasn't changed very often and it was only after the cleaner confirmed our check out day that she changed it. I've not known this happen in a hotel before.

The rooms include breakfast - breakfast was fine. Although the tables could have done with a bit of a wipe.

The pool area was fine - generally fairly clean and they provided towels for by the pool (although some were a little threadbare).

The staff in the hotel, behind reception, were pretty miserable. Despite stopping for 9 nights, we rarely got a smile or "hello" from the staff on return to the hotel. However, the bar staff were friendly, especially the bar lady (unfortunately I didn't get her name) as were the cleaners.

I'm not trying to put you off this hotel, but for a summer trip to Italy, having air conditioned hotel rooms was our priority when booking and that was the biggest disappointment with this hotel. A visit in spring or autumn when the temperatures and humidity are dropping would probably be much better.

Dear Miss Nina,
I remember you....
I am sorry to know that the stay was not pleasant.
There is a small morning break for the air conditioning that allows the cleaners to open all windows.
We have many different room types and maybe if you will change your mind we will try to find rooms that meet your needs.
Luly is the bar lady and Myrna is the cleaner.
Thank you very much to shearing your experience....we will work on.
Kind regards from all the Staff
