Get reservations if you want to sit outside for sunset. Try to get seats close to the edge of the patio for best view.
The food and wine was excellent. We got the bruschetta trio, a wild boar ragu pasta and roasted veggies. Loved it all!

We had such a wonderful dinner and experience here that we came back a second night. Our waitress, Claudia, definitely made it very special and a dinner that we will remember for a long time. She is very professional but once she figured out our sense of humor, she didn't hold back and had us cracking up laughing all night. If you don't want her honest opinion about the menu or wines, don't ask! She took the time to explain why she recommended certain dishes and wines and helped us make the best decision for what we were in the mood for. You can see that she has a real passion for her job and pride in what she does. The food was excellent and the views from the terrace at sunset were spectacular. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our hotel owner recommended Osteria Del Borgo on our first night in Montepulciano & made a reservation. When we arrived, we were immediately seated and our culinary adventure began! The restaurant is beautifully appointed with a nice, welcoming ambiance. The menu featured so many wonderful selections, we didn't know where to begin! Our waitress, Claudia, did a superb job of describing many of the traditionally Tuscan dishes and made a few recommendations. She speaks perfect English, which helped us very much. Also, the wine menu is amazing! We decided on a lamb entree with pici, the typical pasta of the region. Also, we chose the beef filet that had a potato flan accompaniment. Every selection was outstanding! We selected the Boscarella Vino Nobile of Montepulciano vino Rosso and it was incredible. Finally, we ended the phenomenal evening with panna cotta and caramel, along with cappuccino. The dinner was one of the most outstanding food experiences we have had during our visit to Italy. Two nights later, we decided to end our stay in Montepulciano by revisiting Osteria del Borgo. Claudia welcomed us again and was so sweet and friendly. She did a wonderful job, again, of recommending some course selections. The evening was even more delightful than the first visit. You must go to Osteria del Borgo if you visit Montepulciano. It's a dining experience you will not soon forget! We look forward to returning to Osteria del Borgo some day when we visit Tuscany again!

What an Amazing view of the valley below from the back terrace, good wine selection and super central location (just off main Piazza). We stayed in the loft/apartment which was cozy and spotless. I highly recommend.

Food was pretty average, life is too short. Decent wine list. Had "white" lasagna. And bruschetta. Extra charge for "linens, olive oil and bread" or something to that effect. Give me a break. Poliziano Vino Nobile Montepulciano was good at 28 euros.
