Fantastic food. The most amazing garden/ dining area you will ever find. The view/ sunset over looking la madalena. The atmosphere and energy is to die for. A must for a good night out in the costa smeralda area. I had a goats cheese tart and a grilled lamb leg and artichoke salad. Bellisimo. Best food at not unreasonable prices. My family and friends all left very happy. We look forward to next year.

“My favourite restaurant on the planet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2010

We have been coming to Rosemary since 1998 pre and post kids. It has the most romantic setting and if you book an outside table for around 8 o'clock (too early for the locals) you will usually see the most incredible sunset over the Straits of La Maddalena from under a fig canopy with twinkling lanterns - try it with a Negroni in hand - perfect. The staff change of course but they are always as sharp as pins. Susan, the owner is English but lives in Rome apart from the summer when she opens this old farmhouse to her 'friends'. She pinches young staff from top London eateries by seducing them with an offer of a four month beach holiday during the day and bl**dy hard work at night. The food is simple and amazing and the menu changes often enough to even eat here every night - which we have done in the past. Very little is done to daily sourced top local ingredients and the result is better than River Cafe (which is frequently where the staff come from and high praise indeed), without the food miles and at a fraction of the price. This is proper Italy and kids are very welcome, credit cards are not. During August (which is manic) Rosemary is celeb central but here everyone gets the same lovely treatment. Don't come at lunchtime as the troops are all asleep on the beach. I love the irony of the best 'italian' food coming out of an English owned restaurant by the hand of a talented Kiwi or South African in the kitchen. Susan doesn't do technology so she'll never read this so if you are going soon please give her a copy and my best wishes.

“The best meal and setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2009

We visited this restaurant in 06/09 having read a review on trip advisor. Prior to this,we had had a few very expensive and poor meals. We were taken through a small bar area to the garden, lit with hanging lanterns in the trees and the most beautiful of all views with the sun setting over Corsica. Food was delicious, fresh pasta and ceasar salads to start and delicious steak in sauce. Desserts all home made and lovely, bannoffee pie. We spoke to the owner, Suzanne (what a character and celebrity!!!) who came to ask us if we had enjoyed our meal. We did! It was the best and most enjoyable evening of our weeks holiday. This was a real gem of a find and well worth seeking out. Just one tip, if you are prone to mosquito bites, use repellant before you go.

“Casual restaurant on Costa Smeralda”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2008

Rosemary is an historic restaurant of Costa Smeralda's and is always the good adress to have a good and casual evening without spending a lot.
The service is friendly and cooking is really good although not really italian. Special mention to a fantastic Thai green curry and a terrific red fruits crumble. Beef grilled filet is definitively quite the best in the area. You will enjoy, just dress for cool evening if wind is blowing and everything will be OK.
