Booked as part of a coach trip (which was long and tiring. With Leger. ) Anyhow, drinks were expensive, food was average and choice was limited. You had to book from a choice of three, the night before, what you for dinner. It was ok. When they severed a roast, which was nothing special, they they they a big thing and marched it in, expecting you to clap and cheer! It was sdvertised as being by the lake, but was at least a couple of miles away, by a noisy road. The small pool was right next to the road and we were separated from the noise and fumes by a skinny hedge. Not impressed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not overlooking the road

Whilst agreeing with other travellers about the plain and basic bedrooms i found them to be comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was the same. I cannot rate the staff highly enough. They were uniformly warm , friendly and efficient . We went as part of a Leger Coach Tour and we all agreed that the staff and atmosphere in the hotel could not be faulted.I really enjoyed my stay there.

Hotel staff efficient and friendly, rooms small and very old fashioned. Meals nice but very small and basic no frills. Bar area had no real atmosphere while waiting for dinner it was a bit like a doctors surgury. But it did the job as we were on a couch tour and out all day.

A small friendly hotel. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The food was basic but adequate. My room was comfortable and very clean. I was holidaying with travelstyle coach tours and the hotels they use can be a bit below standard so I was pleasantly surprised with the Bristol. The walk into the town and the lake took about half an hour and there was a supermarket just across the road.

Room Tip: My room overlooked the smoking area at the front of the hotel, it was quite noisy until around midnight and again in the morning
