We came here off-peak, had the place to ourselves and were treated like kings especially at evening meals. The chef really made an extra effort for us each evening and every meal was delightfully different. We make a point of trying spaghetti carbonara everywhere we go and this time we ordered and got the best version of all.
The place is quaint inside with old-world art on the walls, and a warm reading room.
The dining room also has a beautiful work of art dominating one wall.
Breakfast is continental but extras are supplied if required.
The rooms are snug and comfortable with a proper table and lamp to work by - air-conditioning/heating that works well and access to the garden through verandah doors.
It's a horse-riding centre in the summer too and they also cater for organized walks around the area.
In all a welcome stay and we were sad to say goodbye to Luigi and co.More
