This hotel is quite a long way from the jetty where you land, but it offers a free shuttle. On the other hand, it is very well placed for a walk up to the observatory from where you can safely view the volcano (they don't seem to make it easy to find this - perhaps they want you to take a guided walk - but if you head onwards from the hotel, walking parallel with the shoreline, for about 20-30 minutes, you will eventually come to a spot from where you can see the action without any difficulties or dangers, and without paying a penny). As for the hotel itself, the rooms are quite basic and the wifi is hard to get working, but at the same time it exudes charm and the staff are very friendly. The inner courtyard garden, and the communal areas, are particularly lovely. We seemed to be virtually the only guests staying at the hotel at the beginning of April, but nothing was too much trouble - including a very decent evening meal, which they prepared just for us at very short notice. I would recommend this hotel.

Spent 2 nights here during a trip of the eolian islands. There is really only 1 reason to visit Stromboli , to climb the active volcano. The weather during our visit did not allow this unfortunately. The hotel is not what we expected but there is probably nothing better in Stromboli. Rooms were very old without a window but had a door that opened on a small terace. Breakfast is not worth it. Location is nice close to the sea. The hotel needs a refresh but can understand that this is not easy sitting on an active volcano

Stayed 2 nights, did a nightime boat tour and walked by ourselves to viewpoint the 2nd night. Ate dinner at hotel one night, very good antipasti buffet and pasta. Room was small, clean, a/c worked well, excellent water pressure, little balcony with seaview standing and bush/bougainvilas view sitting down. Breakfast with lots of sweet choices
Excelkent location to walk to town or to the coves if piscita, beach right in front. Shuttle to/from port conplimentary. Big pool. Very happy with our stay.

We returned again to this wonderful hotel last week, and we will come back again next year. It is a magical, beautiful boutique hotel, with very friendly staff, excellent food, a great swimming pool - and all anyone could wish for if they are staying on Stromboli.

Quaint hotel on a fascinating island - it is family run, with a charming lady owner who is all too happy to relate stories about this magical part of the world. Staff members we came across were all very friendly and polite. We had a pleasant room with a good seaview and we enjoyed a nice breakfast. The pool area may appear a little small however the hotel faces the sea with a beach just a few metres in front of it. I would have no hesitation in returning back.
