We came yesterday,13 th if August. We could made a n early checking. Tyank tou for tie receptionist, room was ok but had to ask for a serious vaccum procces of the floor.evrything was in order.female steward at the bar was nice to us as well . And Just had the dinner at the restaurant and Stefano gave us a super nice servic with a true smile.
Room is nice clean comfortable and spacious. If one is driving around North italy and switzerland, this should be considered for a base.
It is about an hour drive to como and 2 hrs to switzerland zermatt etc

The place was clean, but the food was awful. One of my friends got sick from their ham.
It is like 20 minutes away from Varese center by foot, it is like 30 minutes away from the train station, my point is it is quite far from the things of interest of Varese/places to eat ( you have to search them, because besides the coffee, nothing has taste there)
At lunch, we had brocolli wich looked really awful. Horrible food.
After a long time, finally an overnight stay in this beautiful hotel.
Closed because of Covid, but now open again.
Good:
Friendly staff, very nicely furnished rooms (especially deluxe rooms and up).
Great pillows, fast wifi, good lighting concept, nice terrace, big bathroom.
Not so good:
Breakfast room a bit cold in terms of atmosphere
Hotel is located in quiet environment facing the horse race track.
Which explained why the hotel's major decoration theme is 'horses'.
Room are very decent sized and as far as I know all of them do have a balcony (with an ashtray for the smokers).
Hotel interior is very cozy and modern as well the rooms.
Hotel has more than enough parking so parking your car is not a problem.
The only down side is maybe the breakfast which is sufficient but nothing to write home about.
Tip: ask for a room at the back side of the hotel in case you want a view on the mountains.
Tip nr 2: when you book directly on their website do not forget to go for a room with breakfast included.
Tip nr 3: if a good internet connection is important to you ask for a room at the start of the corridor or not further down than half the corridor
