We arrived in Viareggio on a Saturday evening and Laltrolata were kind enough to accommodate a last minute booking. The chef trained in London, the waiters all spoke perfect English. The setting was cosy yet had a high-end feel, with a secret garden in the back. The food however, was the highlight. Using fresh seafood combined with innovative flavours like beetroot, chilli and balsamic - all three course were truly excellent. Try the red prawn ravioli and do leave room for the exquisite desserts. The staff were cheerful, friendly and even tracked down the last free taxi in town to get us home safely. A must-try, well worth the 10 min walk from the town centre.
