I stay over the night. Rooms is clean, big (except WC). The staff is cordial. The location of hotel is very good because you don't need to use the car for visit volterra. I recommend this hotel. The hotel offer the private car garage (15€).

We booked this hotel because it had on site parking (booked with the hotel prior to our stay). We found the hotel extremely well located, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was more than adequate but, the proximity of cafes, meant that we could join the locals for a breakfast cappuccino and pastry and watch the town fill up with tourists. It was nice to back to the hotel in the afternoon and relax by the pool before an evening stroll and dinner in one of the many restaurants in town.

The Hotel San Lino is located close to one of the main entrances into the walled city of Volterra. A nice benefit was being able to drive our rental car into the city and park in a private garage very close to the hotel. We had two twin-bedded rooms for three nights, and enjoyed the pool area and the views from the elevated terrace overlooking a panoramic view of Tuscany. The beds were a little too firm for my daughter and me, but if you like firm beds, you will be pleased. The bathroom was adequate, though a little short on shelf space for spreading out our toiletries. The staff members were professionally polite. Selection of items in the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The location was close to the main square of the city at which we dined twice and enjoyed a couple of summer concerts. We did not dine in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on it. We loved staying in a walled city and wandering cobblestone streets, wondering what life was like when the city was built.

Very pleasant hotel. Very clean and pleasant staff, all of whom spoke some sort of English as we didn't speak any Italian at all. Pool was great and had it to ourselves most the time but the only problem with the pool was that the sun went down behind the hotel by 7pm.
Air con was pretty poor but at least it had some
Would defo use again if we were going back

The rooms were super badly insulated I could head the guy snore next door and we were woken up by the neighbours phone alarm.
Workers started banging tools at 7am. Apparently the managers don't know that people sleep in a hotel.
Finally, beware the hotel is in the centre of the town where cars are not supposed to circulate make sure you book a parking spot in advance otherwise you'll lose 30 minutes looking for a spot.
NO WIFI.
